I'm going to enable sigs again... but this time we need some rules.

What I'm thinking about:

RULES FOR THE SIGNATURES

Content
- same rules as with postíng: no spam, no illegal stuff etc.
- examples: one-liners, catch-phrases, short jokes, a link to profile, a link to favourite fanclub/thread etc.

Text
- max two (2) lines of text
- max size 3
- allowed: bold, italic, and of any color
- max 3 links (see:links)

Image
- max 1 static image (no animated gifs)
- max width 500
- max height 70
- max size 20 KB

Links
- both text links & image links ok
- ONLY INBOUD LINKS! (to pages on Peachy18/PeachyBBS)


If you're a moderator or posted a lot on PeachyBBS, the rules are not as strict. If something's unclear, please ask.

The only thing I'd suggest is letting the picture be a bit larger.  500 pixels seems to be a good size (if they're much larger then the reply box will deform).

Good call. Actually, it's not the width but height that's more critical... and size. I'll edit those to the rules.

To hyperlink and format your signature, you need to use BBCode.  I've attached a text file with examples of  the code, you can see what it does below...

well I did ask and got no response but Gem said he didn't have a problem with puting just the banner as my sig. But I guess someone didn't like it as much as everyone else. I didn't get a pm or email saying to remove it or they would.

so when i have no sig i can add the KB-Size to the size of my gif-avatar?!

So if bbCode doesn't work then what can I do to make my sig blue? This is driving me up a wall.

You can use html in your sig, but you'll have to update it every now and then to keep it blue.

How large may picture be which i want to upload from my pc?? And what format, i can't put any on forums now :s

max.80 kB (only .jpg-files) - do NOT use the preview-tool, otherwise pic will disappear....

if you need pic for your signature you need to use UBB or URL codes.

Vatsis I think we need to get the authorities involved.
