  • Wed, Apr 9 2008 2:43 Unable to change private email in profile

Hello, I've discovered that private email in my profile is wrong. If I change it, I get the following error message: An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below. Bye!

     Hi,

I'm using Windows XP Pro and Firefox 2.0.0.11

The favorite-tool worked for me but stopped working about two or three weeks ago. I didn't change anything on my PC, so I don't have any clue on how to solve this issue.

I have tried to access the Peachy forums for the last 2 days. I log-in,but I immediately get the notice that the forum I have requested does not exist. I can only see "What's New" (and then not any individual post). Any ideas ?

jesus christ! My 2 back-to-back posts on the problem with the FAVOURITES are on this exact same page and they got ignored, then one got deleted and then I edited the other one…and still I got ignored.

I have the same problem as "rock_hard".

    The thing blinks endlessly.

I am on a Mac using OSX 10.4, with firefox 2.0.0.13

    thanks

Favorites button offers seems to think that every forum/post is already one of my favorites. I can add a post as a favorite, add a member as a friend, and every thread I visit offers me to "remove this forum from favorites" (even though it is NOT already a favorite) Mac 10.4.11, Safari 3.04

I'm not a Mac user, so I cannot do anything but lip-job... sorry. Also the creators of CS might not have tested with Mac, I think. Therefore, we're not ignoring, but we cannot help either. Maybe some Mac users have found a better browser? Or maybe it's OS version related? Or maybe you should fill a ticket form to firefox team that it's not compatible with PC version. Don't know.

A very persistent 'bug', which was dormant for a while.  But seems to be back again.  You're not the only one.

    All fixed again

  • Fri, Apr 11 2008 14:29 Feature "adjustment"

Nice job on the upgrade. Glad I didn't have to do it!  lol

Could you consider moving the Tag cloud on the home page further down the column? Considering the high volume of traffic here, statistically the cloud will change...um....never. I think it may be more convenient for the users to move the "Active" and "My Discussion" Widgets back up the column to their old home.

    Thanks for all your work.

    Same here (Vista/Firefox 2.0.0.13).

I have noticed a lot of posts with links that have an extra space at the end of the link. This causes the link to fail, but you can copy and paste (without the spaces at the end) and they will work. Does this have anything to do with the upgrade? ..............................................................................................Also - no thumbnails are presented to me when viewing My Discussions. Is this only happening to Mac people?
  • Fri, Apr 11 2008 23:54 Using Search

Quite often, I'll have numerous pages open and when going in to post them to their appropriate thread I used to be able to put the link in search, check it, if it came up clean hit the back button and paste it into the post I was making. On to the next link, same thing, and when I would hit the back button, all previous links and anything I might have typed in would all still be there (provided I hadn't done something stupid). When the switch happened I could still do this initially, but now if I have say 20 links to post or whatever, I have to open a second Peachy window to run the searches because if I search a link and go back to post it, everything is gone and the reply box is empty. Just started running into this within the last week give or take a day or two.

This 'extra space'-thing at end of links has probabely to do with which editor people are using and has indirectly to do with the upgrade.  Understand Vatsis is working on this.  Missing thumbnails in "My Discussion" apply to all users.

Try to click "More Search Options" i.s.o. using the back-button

Well a simple "ok thanks for reporting a bug but we don't know yet what the casue of that problem would be" might have been sufficient.

Anyway, contacting to firefox is ridiculous. It's not their fault. The ones to blame for bugs are only the creators/coders of the forum/website where the problem exists. if the button doesn't work then blame yourselves and whoever did the mediocre and lame job at programming the button.

The blame should not be directed at some OS, or some browser as powerful as firefox. And the thought of someone not testing a site on different brwosers and OS is shocking.

BTW, there's absoultely nothing more powerful than firefox on a mac. Firefox is the one browser to sticks better to the web standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Even IE on windows does not compete with firefox on this regard.
