It does not appear to be this way all the time, but occassionally the search seems to be case sensitive and it has made it a huge pain in the ass for me to find a thread. I am fairly new to Peachy, am I doing something wrong?

Also is there a way to use the minus symbol to remove something from the search? For example, if I wanted to search for a girl I knew only to be named Anne, but knew that she was not Anne from Hegre or Lovely Anne, I would type "Anne -Hegre -Lovely". I have tried this also and can't seem to make it work. Thanks in advance

Some times the search tool is (a little off?)  Most of the time is is GOOD.

If you are looking for anne from hegre, just type in anne hegre, you will come up with this.

Lovely anne,  type in lovely anne, you will come up with this.

Most of the time search tool works very good.

I would add "-Hegre" or "-Lovely" in order to eliminate their posts from appearing when I search (so it would be easier to find the Anne I am looking for). Does that make more sense? If not it's really no big deal, I don't want to take up too much of your time. Thanks again

In an older post, I read about a plug-in(s) with Firefox for search PeachyForum (and some other sites as well).  I wanted to know if there were any issues/problems prior to installing them.  Also, where is the location of the 'definitive' thread that covers everything I need to know about that plug-in(s). 

My motivation for inquiring about the plug-in came about because a recent search for an Ivana who isn't a Fukalot resulted in my getting FuckedAlot because I couldn't trim down the search results with a NOT search operator.

 I think that a + - operator would be extremely useful here, but to be blunt it’s not going to happen within the foreseeable future… The best way to narrow down results is to go to a popular TGP like ask Jolene or ask Tiava and locate a URL that you think might likely have already been posted. If you already have a URL in mind, trim off the http:// in the beginning and any other sort of possible referrer ID from the end, and try using the search to find the URL.

Yes it’s a bit of a pain in the ass but you just have to work with the tools that are handed to you, for free. We tend to tell our members that beggars can’t be choosers and yet offer up solutions to try and help anyone who might have questions. Currently operators are not an option, so we just have to make do with what we have and try to work together and find some shortcuts.

As for the plug-in, I believe your talking about the one created by KS a very long time ago? It did not offer any sort of advanced searching, rather it used a form to submit a quarry directly to the original search DB that your currently using now. The only handy thing about the addition was that it integrated peachy search into your browser. Maybe I’ll look into it and recreate a 2.0? Other than that, I’m not aware of any others.

Question: How well does Google index the forum threads at Peachy, not counting lag time between 'bot searches?   Also, why is it that using the Google cache brings me to a regular PeachyForum page devoid of any information on it?  If I click on the non-cached link, I get what I expect to see from Google and Peachy.  Does this have anything to do with not being logged on at the time and/or behavior perculiar to Firefox (I'm using Maxthon for the rest of the evening, so I can't re-create the issue)?

I swear by that Google search operator ... it's what I had in mind when I posed that question.  I'm surprised it takes them that long to index.  Is it that way for all of PF or do they index some parts of PF more frequently?

BTW, that same operator in Google Images + PicLens = eye candy smorgasbord  :))
