I think her current lack of appeal is due more to her artificiality.

Look at her pics with Emily. When we do, we are acutely aware these pictures are no more than a lame tease. There is no passion.

Laura is incredibly beautiful, as the pics from the early era clearly demonstrated. But increasingly her image has become superficial as demonstrated by her unattractive changes in hair color and the artificial tone of her "lesbian" sets.
