It would be one thing if she said she loved this life of pointless, 60-hour-a-week drudgery and debt -- but reading her blog entries, this is clearly not the case.

Lori, darling, you are young, extraordinarily beautiful, you have a fantastic spirit, an awesome smile, and about a jillion fans all over the globe. You can, and you should, be doing SO much more!

I think it's great that you've made the choice to quit the nudie biz and "go legit." But please, for heaven's sake, don't lock your precious self away in an office under fluorescent bulbs and staring at a computer screen all day! Enough with the diet of beer and ramen noodles! Let your light shine, sweetie! I know you're a little mixed-up right now, but believe me, there are many options open to you which you may not even be considering.

I came to Hollywood eight years ago to be an actor & writer, and today it's what I do full-time. There were some really rough years, but it's never been less than an amazing adventure, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Although I'm not in a position to give you any direct assistance, I'd be happy to talk with you and at least offer some encouragement -- in whatever path you end up deciding to take. You know, if she's mixed up at the moment then maybe a 'normal' life is exactly what she needs for the moment. Something to give her some perspective and some time to think - I'm not saying she needs to become ascetic or anything but it seems she was more interested in getting out and getting her life in order than just waiting around and making an easy transition. It can't be an easy change to have made, but from her posts here she seems happy to have done it even if her current circumstances aren't ideal.

But I agree, I think she can definitely make something of herself when she's ready. Give her time though, it's probably too soon to know what she wants.

And this is probably pointless, but I'll say it anyway - if anyone reading this is harassing anyone involved, you're just causing problems and conflict between Lori and everyone she's worked with where there was no problem before. Seriously, don't be stupid

I wouldnt go as far as "ridiculous", but i was preturbed by the sight of Lori in a cubicle. Nevertheless, better, more exciting, and more spiritually fulfilling opportnities will arise for Lori, i think we can all be sure of that.

I went to a Catholic grade school, Catholic high school, and just graduated from a Jesuit / Catholic University. Needless to say, I am no longer a Catholic, yet while i disagree with Catholicism's belief in God and the afterlife, I still retain many of their moral beliefs and expectations. Through this prior knowledge, I know first hand just how hard it is being a Catholic. And i must say that I admire the path that Lori's taken and hope the best for her.

Lori, no matter what religion, we all hope and pray for the best for you.

Oh God!!  The funniest post in a long, long time-- pbr coming out of my nose.  Thank you.  The other posts-- a "male model", a writer of song,  and some of the other knights in shining cheese--- WTF??  I may be the only one, but I'm sad to see her go.  Lori, you're a big girl, do what makes you happy, and most importantly, don't follow anyone's advice, including mine.  But if you'd like to have a deep, spiritually stimulating conversation, feel free to conta....  kidding.

I have to say Im alittle shocked Lori AKA Jordan Capri posted in this forum. She is simply gorgeous, one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen in real life or on the net.

Lori if you are really interested in a org. like the Peacecorps might I suggest a simliar org. Cross-Cultural Solutions. http://www.crossculturalsolutions.org Its akin to a mini-stint with the peace corps  1-12week instead of the 2 year minimum commitment of the peacecorps. Could be a good way to see if you would like this type of work.

I was wondering what the full story behind Lori's retirement was, but the relevant blog entries at her old and new MySpace pages are gone (the bits quoted earlier in this thread appear to more-or-less tell the tale anyway). At first I couldn't figure out why she'd switch to a new blog using the Jordan Capri pseudonym after sharing her name around here (since she doesn't want people to call her JC anymore), but then I found this Wikipedia log:

Delete I am real name Jordan Capri. I have been having issues recently with "fans" coming into my work. Just this past Monday someone came in asking for my autograph & said he found me on THIS site. First of all, on my MySpace page, I never gave my last name away nor the engraving shop's name, because I did not want people to find out my real name. This is a serious issue; I could have potential salkers, rapists, ect. now!! What if some crazed fan comes in, waits for me to leave late at night, then follows me home!? Since I found this thing I've been scared to death! This was with respect to a Wikipedia article on "Jordan Capri" which apparently has since been edited to remove the offending information.

Geez. You'd think fans would have the decency not to go around intruding upon her private life. Hopefully these kinds of problems have stopped for her...
