I know I'll receive a barrage of abuse/advice for still using IE 6, but...

I have a little problem in that, when opening a new window (ie. clicking a link --> Open in New Window) the window that opens is always an annoying small size...

...so every single time I have to maximise each new window for it to fill the screen. I've looked through all the options and can't figure out to make sure new windows open in full size. Any help would be appreciated... Yes [Y]

And before you say it, don't worry - I do plan to use Firefox as my main browser. Just got a few niggles with it to sort out first. Wink [;)]

Seems I had the same question A.Blinkin already asked in the Computer Assistance Forum. Here's Fucktard's answer:

The problem is that IE doesn't include closing a page by clicking on the X at top right, as a "remembered command". In other words, right after you do it, it doesn't commit anything to memory....so when you open IE again it's back to small. Microshaft™ is so great Big Smile [:D] So, what you have to do is force it to remember. Here's the trick: Open IE and when the page is still minimized, manually maximize the screen by placing your mouse pointer at the very edges of the window and dragging it to full size. Then, when it's completey filling the screen like you want, click on *file* at top left and while holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, click on *close*. This is a command that IE will remember and the page will be full screen from then on until something causes it not to be. If you get tired of doing this every time Internet Exploder® decides to be a dick....go get a great free program called IE Maximizer here: http://www.jiisoft.com/iemaximizer/download.asp

Or even better yet....get Opera and be done with IE forever.
