Exactly.  Used to be 3 portals.  The one that came out BEhind the fall was closed off.

Can see the other 2 here.

I had a hack of a time finding that picture  of the 3rd portal.

Finally found it here.

You really threw me, Funky--I was looking for a much older structure Wink I was searching for "thatched" and finally got lucky after you added the coat of arms. Thumbs up! That the style doesn't really match a "white" country's history also confused me. Confused

Smile I wonder if Disney got his idea from here? Purple Elephant

Woonzorcomplex, http://anavedobomgosto.blogspot.com/2009/04/mvrdv.html yeah, not hard at all using those two words. i was just using words like cantilever, modern, architecture. didn't get anywhere. on another note, i just drove from Montana to Maine to pick up a new sail boat. stopped at Niagara Falls and went down the elevator, through the tunnel and out onto the deck in the mist of the falls. the only reason i stopped was because of markd88 recent post about it. pretty cool

Maybe my hints were a little bit too far fetched.  It being in my hometown and knowing it very well.

It's a place where elderly people live independently, but with medical staff and all kinds of help available (if needed)

Built in 1997 and won several international architecture prizes.
