In your opinion, what were the happy moments/events of 2006 ?

For me, I like to start with the bi-annual flower carpet at Brussels' Grand Platz.

Not a very good year for me. So I will have to say the END of it was the happy moment for me.

mutsnuts, I do hope 2007 will bring you many happy moments. And all in all, I am glad 2006 is over. A year packed with carnage, hate, bigotry and unrest and it ended in a very weird manner.

But there were some great moments.

For instance, Italy's great win of the World Cup and yet I am not Italian.
