Favorites:

I know what you mean and it's a pain*in*the*ass. The limit 6 is just artificial for current performance optimization reasons (we've having a few hickups!), will be lifted soon. Also, the old feature IS the coming to be the next default in the next few days - no worries about that - but we had to do this in this order, since the next version isn't yet tested for performance.

Other things that are limited for performance reasons:

- my posts -screen (when you click your name at the top of the screen) only displays 6 posts / page. Doesn't display text-preview, like what you posted
- Threads are now rendering thumb-preview pictures on client side. Meaning, the small gallery thumb previews might seem broken, then load up suddenly
- The new Gallery -page doesn't yet display filtering by many other criterias that intended (like the model's site, MET / Galitsin etc).
- some statististics might jam or appear broken from time to time
- etc

When the rest of the feature are coming up? When the background tasks have finished, I guess this weekend. :)

"Favorites" are now unusable.  On the right side of the page, where the date of the last post to a thread used to be listed, the date of the post that I "like[ed]" is now listed.

Good nows - new version of Favorites is already online & for testing!

 http://peachyforum.com/favorites.aspx

Basicly favorites are seperated as "tracked topics", those contains the posts originally liked. Using that view you may see the latest changes to the topics.

In addition to that, there are a post level -view, which lists the individual posts we have liked. We may remove the posts from there. This level functions more as an archive of really nice posts containing your favorite galleries (= those you have liked).

Now someone could say, why 2 views - why not only Topics-view (like it used to be)? The reason is that the "like" button is for every post, but people misuse it to bookmark just any post in the topic just to track the topic. BUT we want to push more use of Like-button inside every topic and instead of just uselessly commenting "thank you" those topics and really want to be sure people like the post they say they do. When the readers learn archieving posts by using the like -button, they don't comment them - and also the original poster will get the credit they deserve.

Hi, Vatsis. Just given it a quick tour, seems ok at the moment. Still getting the occasional empty frame from a 'pop up' , just that ?, my blocker kills the content so just annoying, happens all over peachy not that often. any ideas?. drum

I cannot use favorites anymore, I need them back in alphebatical order, so I can find the girls.  I really hate the new favorites format,

The favorites/myposts/galleries use the same template, which could easily get an alphabetical sort - just takes few minutes for me to do. Maybe the UI site could take more time, since it would be cool to have all alphabets on a different menu-box. But there's another features coming up next (in a week) and I don't want to push out buggy features, so alpha sort might come up in 2 weeks, unless the next features need more fixing.

Yes, Favorites needs to be changed back to something like the way it was. I favourite the first post in a thread that I want to follow, and previously I'd scan the list (all on one page) for dates listed in bold, which meant that those topics had been updated in the past day or two. Now I can't do that, which makes it completely useless to me.

Favorites now work great for me.  On "Topics having posts I liked" setting, they are listed sequentially in order of most recently posted to.  The question if getting more on each page or all back on one page seems to be in process judging by Vatsis' March 21 post.

That's right! And also an answer to fusor's question. I know if the term "fresh content" is quite broad, but it is meant to. Tried to make the "top navigation subject" easy and use it everywhere, but it's not actually filtering quite the same:

  • On your favorites/my wall page, "fresh content" means all are sorted by latest post of each topic. In addition, "from every forum" means really from everywhere (from visual forums and from General chage, surfing tips etc).

  • On galleries page http://peachyforum.com/galleries.aspx , the view is sorted by latest galleries. Therefore, if a topic has only comments, it doesn't get bumped on the top and the date on right is latest post date, which might be different then the "latest gallery date". "From every forum" -filter means only from forums with galleries, makes no sense to search them all.

Ok, that makes more sense. Can you set it up so that it shows the date of the most recent post in each thread? Right now it only shows the date of the first post in the thread, which isn't so useful.

When on your Favorites page (click your name > Favorites), change "Topics having posts I like" to "Posts I like".
You should then be able to remove posts from your favorites by clicking yellow X at the end of each row.

I know it seems a bit confusing at first, but there is no way to remove whole topics from favorites (atm), since you have always only added posts into favorites. If I'd add those yellow X's on the topic view, it could remove many posts inside the topic at the same time. Maybe there will be a feature like that in the future.

Sorry, but I think the layout's terrible. I appreciate the need for responsiveness but now, when I go to my favourites I see everything in a previewed mode that takes up the entire screen. So, instead of a traditional forum layout in a list format where I can see all my favourites on one screen, I now have to trudge through good ness knows how many pages, also without it being clear at a galcen as to which threads have updates. At least give us the option to switch between the two views. The actual forum itself is fine, but as for the rest - ugh. This is currently unusable for me, sorry. I can't understand why my favourites can't be displayed in the same format as the rest of the forum - I don't WANT them in a forced 'tablet' style.
