I am still running my two MSI (NVidia) 6600GT-TD128E's in SLI, oc'd to 560-1.10. Two of you have the 7800GT 256, that is a seriously awesome card. Good to see this thread, and also that people are going back to NVidia after they got trounced a few years ago by ATI's Radeon series.....who just released the X1900XTX by the way, which is a bad ass mofo for sure (16 pipes but more importantly, 48 shaders!!!! Holy sheepballs) with a scary price tag to match. But for me, NV has always been the way, and alot of the newer games are geared for them anyways. I am going to eventually get two 7800GTX 512's when the prices come down to earth but I tell you what, the 6600GT is amazing for the price, and for any price.
By the way, I am curious to know what brand 7800GT you guys have, that's a pretty important detail to leave out when it comes to vid cards. I hear nothing but raves lately for eVGA cards.

Steve Jobs is still the man....talk about a fascinating guy, and I say that with a staunch record of heterosexuality. Apple faded after they fired him. Yes----fired....they kicked him from his own company after he made various cash-for-stock moves and shifted ownership past 50/50.

Then they (Apple) finally figure out that the missing link is Jobs, so they beg him back (with an insane back-ended contract) and what does he do? IMac and IPod....nuff said. He made who knows how much in these last 5 years, maybe close to a billion.

The man is a God among peasants, and I wish I went to high school with him because I could really use a million or three about now....

Don't have games... so I've choosed Radeon X300 because it doesn't make any sound (no fans). Cannot concentrate if there's any noise while coding.

I have in mind buying a huge Geforce7800 GTX  512MB (800$!) with heat-pipes & fan to watch hdtv videos, I've heard it's very quiet. Have to wait until it's getting cheaper...

Posted a pic of that exact card (and the best brand) above. They are pretty darn quiet, I wouldn't say they are totally silent, but then again I have never personally owned a case that was quiet enough to make the vid card fan an issue so I don't know, but from ten inches away I would say my 6600GT is silent.
