New Layout - comments, problems?

You might have noticed, our layout has been updated to support better smaller screens (tablets, mobile phones). Even on PC, resizing the browser window will also make the layout more "fluid", responsive.

Comment here if you notice some weird problems or just would have prefered the old one?

What could be done better?

Hi Vatsis. Not sure about layout, I'll try on a tab or netbook see how it runs.  Did notice a 'few little bugs' as i looked around. Database seems to have shuffled the calander about?, January and February intermixed on some pages. Only had one slowloader , but sure I can break something and find some more (sic). Want any rain there?, I got spare. Drum

Hi Vatsis!

This new look is fucking FANTASTIC! Peachyforum was always pretty terrible to browse on a phone, even on a big screen like Samsung Galaxy S4, but finally it's perfect! The galleries load easily, the threads are very simple to follow and there is a great usage of screen space. Absolutely love, love, LOVE this design!

First impression is the white background.  Too bright on my eyes. How about a peach color?  Haven't tried on a portable device.  Good luck!

Looks good, now when I log on the whole page in't cramped off to one side. Let me check the search...nope, same old non-working search. I still have to close peachy, go to google and put in peachyforum + whatever to get what I'm looking for. Keep working on it!

Jasmine pop-up may be paying the bills, but I thought when I reached a thousand posts pop-ups would stop.  Is there any truth to that old rumour?  Anyhow, not in my case...

Belief at one time was that those who achieved 1,000 posts would in future not get ads/pop-ups.  Seems like a good idea.

It seems all I had to do was login to get back some funtionality. I retract my statement earlier. It is a bit too white though. It'd be nice to see a dull colored background.

Made the background a bit more dull and washed out :), now it's easier for eyes. There's lots of white-space on the new layout (read: space to breathe), therefore all the white did hurt eyes.

I liked how, when I went to "My Discussions", the topic showed how many pages the discussion took up, and gave me the option to click on the "last" page of discussion so I could see the latest entry.  Now, it only shows the discussion without the pages, adding a step:  first click the discussion, THEN click the last page.

Other than that, thanks for keeping the site going.  It's my favorite!

Is it possible to see which of your own threads you have not looked at? Previously it was in bold if you had not clicked on one of your commented threads. Now I cannot tell

Same opinion here about the topic pages feature !!
It'd great if you can enable that feature again.

Anyway... thanks for running/keeping this site on... my bald friend also gives a huge thanks to you all !

The feature for middle pages is currently hidden, since only a few wanted to jump to pages 3,4,5 of multi-page conversation from threadslist. If you want to see the last page, you can always click the "lastest comment" -link, which is the last column to threadlist. That's quite often used.

Other then that, there's also a feature to list all posts in a topic "newest to oldest", which is soon about to make a comeback.

Layout for the topic filter search results doesn't agree with the general layout.  Since today it is always new layout, before it was always old layout, independently of preferences.

Layout for the usual search results does agree with the general one.

The reason is, I just upgraded Topic Filter / Tags yesterday... they are too customized (totally made by me) to switch the look by the theme (old or new). So unfortunately, from this day on, they will be only on the new layout.

Having initially praised the new layout, I am starting to hate it a bit. 2 major problems.

1: Clicking on a thread now always takes you to the first page. Where is the option to go straight to the last page where all the latest and newest galleries will be?

2: My biggest source of frustration: as a primarily mobile user, this site is now SATURATED with adverts. Clicking on most threads will open and take you to a -not allowed b.o. ads-terror- website 90% of the time. Similarliy, clicking on any gallery that is hosted on Peachyforum redirects most of the time to uporn or some other tube site (ironic since PF generally doesn't allow tube sites to be posted).

Please fix both of these. The first issue you can, with the second I know you have bills to pay but can you make the pop ups less intrusive?

Clicking on "latest post" -columns latest post takes to the last page. And there will also be an option to sort from the newest to the oldest. Page numbers might also make a comeback, however, at the moment they are breaking the layout... it's difficult to test since there are now 3 different targets (mobile phones, tablets and PCs).

The new layout hasn't brought with it any new adzones those the old layout didn't have. Mobile phone users see on PeachyForum much less adverts then PC users on the whole, when counting how other many PC ads are gone.

For some reason I can't see the option to click to see both types of links that used to be off to the right/top.

So that makes the new layout a dud in my opinion.

Why you don't display both types of links I don't know, that would be logical.
