It's all more or less freelance - you'll note that Phtographers will have sets on multiple sites with the same models (Under diffrent names) - They take the photos and then sell the sets to whatevers sites will buy them. 

So, get a good digital camera, research what Releases/Data you'll need to take down, and go nuts. 

If you hope to get to the artistic sites (Met, Femjoy, Domai, ect..) you should probably study lighting and composition and practice a bit before paying a Model.

Can't help but wonder if Slasyonoff did it on purpose, to make a set to look like "What if I had a cheap camera and my parents were out of town for the weekend?" sort of theme. Terible lighting (like a straight on Flash) and dull backgrounds.
