Long time no posting, but I'm back ;)

Have been making some videos and thought I'd pop a link in this thread aswell, you can find them at my profile on Dailymotion:

http://www.dailymotion.com/OralAnna

I tried adding them on my Youtube profile aswell, but they quickly got moderated and I got a warning from those bastards :P So I'm sticking with Dailymotion for now!

I've been furiously working on a new design for Oralanna.com (yet again!), and making some new stuff, which I hope you will like :D

So how's everybody been?

I had no idea your - your own producer, sight designer /webmaster till I had a better look at your myspace page, that’s awesome! (thanks for joining mine btw). I have a bit of experience in video editing/production and graphic design if you ever need a hand ;-)

I guess I'm what they call a 'true amateur', or maybe just a nerd ;) I indeed do everything from html, php and installing scripts to picking every image and thumbnail on the Oralanna.com site, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my baby, I love being in control! Annasucks.com on the other hand is managed, run and promoted by a company, I just sort of 'lease' the content.

Hubby is really into video editing and special effects and stuff, and he's been trying to get me to use proper software, but I still edit my videos with Windows Movie Maker, I like it simple :P  I use Photoshop for all my graphic design and I do my pages and CSS in Dreamweaver although I code by hand. The only downside of doing everything myself is that I can't stop thinking "How could I improve things?", and I end up re-building the site every two months!

"Weeeelll, I'm an amateur porno chick from Finland, and I occasionally upload some stuff here so you people would have something to flag offensive :P"

I love that quote from your Dailymotion page!

It's good to see you pop in and say hello. I love the fact you and your husband keep up, design and run your Oralanna.com site. I know it's a lot of hard work. I use to run 2 or 3 adult sites and did it all myself. When I started out I knew nothing about graphic design, codes, making thumbnails, links or CSS. Thank goodness for Dreamweaver!! And Thank goodness for another silly little program called Arles Image Web Page Creator....It is what I used to learn to make all of my thumbnails and stuff. It took me years to get my sites to look like what I wanted and even then.....much like you....I always thought "how can I improve them". LOL! I'm glad I gave it all up to justr surf porn now and visit wonderful sites like yours!

Haha, I just noticed my stuff got flagged pretty quickly although in the particular video clips I didn't even show any flesh! The tags I used might have caused it, now that I think about it :P

Hey, nice to hear someone here has been in the same situation as me :D Did you run paysites or tgp's and such? And OMG, I love Arles! Back when I had more videos than picture sets I used to code all the galleries by hand, make thumbnails and resize images manually in Photoshop and it took like 5 hours to make a gallery for my members area. It felt like I had won the lottery when I found out about Arles!!! Other gallery makers don't give you full control of the look of the gallery, that's why I was hesitant to use one.

By the sounds of it you're a perfectionist too ;) Did you ever 'finish' your sites? I mean, did you ever look at them and think: "I don't want to change a thing!". I'm asking because whenever I've re-built the site and it's finally ready, I'm already bored of it for having to look at it for 10 hours for the past week or two!

LOL, I know the question wasn’t for me, but from my experience there is no end to site changes - layout/graphics/design. There are ALWAYS improvements to be made. Hmm, I bet that thumb would look better as an animated GIF, or I don’t think I like this background so much now, but changing it would require an entire graphical overhaul. Then, once it’s perfect, you get a whole new idea that requires all new layout and design.

For me, part of it came from learning, and every time I learned some new technique I would need to find a way to implement it (Thus changing everything).  Even still a person can become bored with things, at least it keeps the viewers on their toes.

If you want to Up some samples I don’t think http://pornotube.com/ would have a problem Wink

You took the words out of my mouth! I'm relieved that I'm not the only one with an obsession like this :D I go to places like DesignMeltdown.com to get inspiration for other projects or see something cool while surfing... and the cycle starts again! And it's true what you said about learning new techniques aswell, if I learn something new it doesn't matter if I don't need it, I'll find a way to use it even if it means re-building the site :P But I often wonder if it's annoying my frequent visitors, having to 'learn' a new layout every two months...

I tried uploading stuff on Pornotube when they launched the site, but it never got through! I should probably try again though, they might have gotten a better server by now :D Thanks for the reminder!

It seems we are both perfectionist!! LOL! Like Hunter said "there is no end to site changes - layout/graphics/design. There are ALWAYS improvements to be made". It really is a never ending challange doing a webpage/web site when you are a perfectionist!

I started 3 TPG's from scratch without any knowledge on what I was doing! LOL! I also love a challenge on top of being a perfectionist which is sort of why I started them! Let me tell you something....when I started my first one it was about as basic as possiable...links only....no pictures and no frills at all! I think the most exciting thing I had on my site at first was a banner someone had made for me! LMAO! Also at first I didn't have Dreamweaver and was writting all of the code.....line by line....myself. I went to other TPG's, paysites and web sites and copied their codes onto a notepad and played around with them until I learned what I was doing.

Much like you before the most wonderful Arles was reccomnded to me I spent hours (up to 8 hours a day on all 3 TPG's) making galleries and thumbnails and never really got it to look right or the way I wanted it to look. Now I look back and laugh at how hard I made it on myself! LOL!

In the end I had 4 TPG's, 1 Link Site and 1 Paysite.  I got rid of the paysite first since I wasn't making as much money on it as I thought or as much as the TPG's. Over the years I got rid of all of them. I held on to my first TPG the longest since it was my pride and joy. It had gone from a simple link site with a static banner to a full thumbnail site with "motion" banners and even motion/changing (or morphing)thumbnails.

To answer your question, no.....I never finished the any of the sites! LOL! I always found something I wanted to change around or thought of something that would look better. I had an area that was just my favorite models and models who had done fan pics for my site. That area changed at least once a week! LOL!

As far as your web viewers go....don't worry about the constant changes you make unless what you are changing makes it harder for them to find what they are looking for. I changed mine all of the time and all the emails I got were good since I was making it easier for my viewers to find stuff.

Looks like my wife really wants to make a paysite with her pcitures and stuff so I may be back into the business soon! LOL! No sleep for the perfectionist!

Hehe, how'd you find those? Those are the first and so far the only freesites/galleries I've made for Oralanna.com :D :D :D I can't even remember where I've submitted them!

As for coding on Notepad (or something...) - I can do it, but it's so much slower for me without

  • syntax highlighting
  • auto-closing a tag when I type </
  • Dropdown menu list/auto complete when doing CSS

I admit, those are the only things I use and love in Dreamweaver... I guess it's a bit like buying Photoshop and only using it to resize images (That I'm not guilty of!), but I'm so used to the interface and those three features that I don't think coding on Notepad would be any easier, faster or cleaner (except if I could touch type or even use all my ten fingers :P ).

Ahh... SugarNips. In December I did this interview for the GirlNextDoorMag (which is somehow linked to or owned by the same people as SugarNips), and I put a lot of effort into writing interesting answers and sent it to the webmaster who runs AnnaSucks so she'd forward it to the GNDMag people. They never published it! I can only assume that she never sent it to them. Or it got lost in the mail, lol. So now there's just a review.

Well, maybe it's for the best, I mean, when the contract with AnnaSucks ends, maybe I could get another GNDMag interview with my own site. Who knows!

Sorry for the rant, I'll post some pictures from my recent sets to make up for it!
