Bumps & New Material

I've got a question about new posts on an existing thread. I know members and moderators hate when someone adds a new link minutes apart without using the edit tool. So my question is.... is there a predetermined amount of time that is preferred to wait before adding a "new" post if my post is also the previous one in a thread. I would think a few hours would be okay? I read the rules, and perhaps over looked it, but did not see anything that specifically addresses this.

Just collect all your links and post those links in 1 time.   If you have a new link later the same day then add to your old post (using edit tool)

It's indeed one of the top 5 irritations with users.

Thanks for your reply funky2004. I guess my main concern is keeping a thread relevant, if im the only one posting on a particular thread, and I keep editing my previous post, perhaps that thread would get lost to all but me. For example, the Watergasm thread, if I never add a "new" post, and it's dropped to the bottom of the fetish string, there is the possibility of nobody adding material simply because they do not know it exist. (Does that make sense? )

Yes and no. Honestly if a person wants to see something bad enough or to contribute, finding a topic is easy enough via the search tool. If you find that youre the only one whos ever posting content to a theme thread, odds are that no one really cares. So, its rather pointless and annoying to continue bumping a thread to the top that nobody really wants to see. On the other hand, editing your post to add new links clearly adds to the content of the thread for anyone who wishes to view it or reply.

That makes sense hunter27, you make a great point. On the other hand, I find a new "fetish" everyday that I think is hot, that I never ever knew existed because I seen it here. Thanks for your input guys. I will use my best judgment, and not spam a thread (watergasm, ect) and keep in mind that I may indeed be the only chick interested. I just hope to use a thread as a sharing tool and not an online storage device for my fave links. I look forward to being apart of this community. :)
