Well...

It seems like someone finally nuked the chat.

In a way I feel a sigh of relief, and I'm sure my friend drums will feel the same when he reads this. Instead of finding a way to make the chat more interesting and accessible as a fast dialogue platform, apparently another decision was made.

I'd like to take this occasion to thank all the members of peachyforum with whom I've had fun and games with during the last 5 years. Some of you I still speak with outside this forum... Oksy, JensfromSweden, Grimwig, Gemini37, evoo, drumasteruk, izzi...   Others remain in loving memory

I remember back in the day when chat was one of my main reasons for visiting Peachy forum. But, once that little chat box got taken off of the main page fewer and fewer people visited it. Then for a while, even though it wasn’t there you could still count on someone always being in there to BS with, Mike. When you stopped, so did everyone else.

People dropped into chat willing to BS but only for a moment and if nobody was there they were out. Without any way to tell if anyone was in there after a while it became pointless to even bother looking, thus pointless to even have a chat room at all.

I think a chat could have huge success “again” here if it were properly done. At least a link that shows how many people are in there - Chat(3).. Maybe I’ll buy some software and set it up at my own hosting company, and see if V wants to use it.. Then again it would probably suck up all my bandwidth in just a few days.

Have to say, sorry to see chat gone. For a while, I was in there every night mostly talking to myself but did have some fun. Met some cool people and the Kari Sweets thing was pretty nice. The last few times I went in there it was completely dead. R.I.P.

Drums didn't read this message, but he regrets the chat as much as I do. I still have contact with many of the chat-squad outside the chat, less than before, but I can say drums, gemini37, oksy, hunter, jensfromsweden, matardorstuff, izzi are all ok. I've heard from a few sources that fucktard and punkychick are fine too.

Some of us meet in other forums, in other chats. Some of us meet on IM and some of us meet in real life.

We could let this thread be a meeting place.. why not? Post on this thread, or send me a pm if there's someone you'd like to meet from the chat days..
