A few months ago I wondered why there are some many SUVs on US... well, it seems chinese are trying as well:

http://www.anwb.nl/published/anwbcms/content/binaire-bestanden/mpg/auto/tests/crashtest-landwind-1-467150.wmv

another video from inside the car: see how the airbag is a laughter and the dummies head is crushed at one moment:

http://anwb.nl/published/anwbcms/content/binaire-bestanden/mpg/auto/tests/crashtest-landwind-2-467165.wmv

Translated from German, may have a few mistakes... The new chinese big terrain car called Landwind, which will be shortly introduced on the EU market has been tested for safety by authoroties, conclusion:
"in all our 30-year crash-test experience we have never seen such a dangerous car, the driver has no chance to survive a simple 64km/h crash"

Well, the video speaks for itself, the chinese have still a lot to learn...

btw. The car is on the roads already

Wow V, good find.
I can't believe it's that dangerous lol, what a classic review. It's amazing how lifelike they make those crash test dummies nowadays, they are weighted exactly like a 172.3 pound male, and/or a 108 pound female, or even a 22 pound infant. Everything about them is precisely balanced, hinged, and weighted like us.
My sister passed away in a car crash when I was younger, so I always kind of cringe when I see something semi-realistic like this....but hey, at least the Chinese make 99% of every Walmart/Target, and they sure can make great food and beer. Good enough for me.

Have you heard about the ship full of Kias that sunk off the California coast?

Kia lost several thousand dollars!

Damn, sorry about your sis F... first I was about to post on "Funny Stuff" ("chinese suv, what a joke), then after watching the videos over and over again I got just sad. How an earth did this piece of crap pass?

Ok, there is a market for cheap cars... for people thinking of a new car, I advice getting a used toyota, honda, whatever.

Your links are from the Dutch automobile association ANWB Holland, although the crashtest was performed by ADAC (German autom.ass.)

With a basic price of only €.15000 (approx.$.18000)  it will always attract buyers......

Dutch importer announced pending orders may be cancelled and cars already supplied will be refunded to buyers.

Problem was that there's not yet an EU certification on the JMC Landwind, so each imported vehicle has to pass a simple individual technical test (like TüV (Germany) or APK (Holland) )

It's has been a huge thing in the Dutch media and it seems the Chinese makers have to do their homework all over again....

Here's another link of the same test.

Look at the difference between the Touareg and the others.
