"  D O N 'T    P A N I C  ! "

  Q ; " Life, The Universe and Everything ? "
   A ;  42

Why is it important to always take a towel ?  Who is Slartibartfast ?  And where did all the dolphin go ?
The answers, all  answers can be found in " the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy " Not too often to I really get exicited about a film release, but for me this is a really big one. At last to the big screen comes " the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy " Based on my absolute favorite five book trilogy, based on the 1981 six part BBC teleplay, based on the BBC's  multi chaptered radio play all writen by, re-writen, based on and loosely adapted by the late Douglas Adams. If you're a fan of  " the Guide"  and haven't seen these links below, you will not be disapointed. If  this is the first you've heard of  "the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" Stick a fish in your ear and take some time, click the links  and wander around for a while. All of this and so much more will be completely unexplained for you.

Without even seeing the movie yet.
Based on a scale of  1 to 5 (5 being best)  young, firmed tittied, drunk cheerleader chicks.
I give this film, 11 & 1/2 Atta Boys Up.

Cin my good man, if nothing else, I’m increadibly intrigued by your rating system.

I give your critique my highest critiquing critique of all time, a whopping 94 thumbs, 9 toes, and two nipples way up.

Cmon, I can agree with the 94 thumbs and the 9 toes, but 2 nipples way up? Based on viewing the trailers and still shots, the best this yet unseen film can rate is a left nipple up and a semi morning wood.

Well I most certainly would be remiss not to respect your opinion. And I must say, not only do you have my respect, but my admiration as well. Only a good honest man of integrity, a man of strong character and confidence in his life choices would so boldly state in front of God and everybody, that he finds disagreement in a women's upturned nipples.

I Salute You

I fondly remember the BBC series, so I'm looking forward to the film with a bit of trepidation. Hopefully they haven't screwed things up too badly.

The series I would rate 8 titty biscuits out of ten.

Haven't yet read the books.Sad [:(]

Fortunatly, fond memories I've found can sometimes rebound. The complete digitally remastered BBC six part series of  " the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy " availablle on DVD from AOL Time Warner. And I'm sure it took some kind of  big fat lady ad her big fat lady ass to sit on this DVD in order to close the case cover. It's just that jammed packed fulla extra bonus stuff.
As far as things being badly screwed up, I'd have to say that's pretty much guaranteed. The movie's screenplay was writen entirely by Douglas Adams prior to his early demise in 2001. And the inside buzz says the script remained tinkered free from then throughout final production. But then you have to remember who we're dealing with here. In taking the story from it's oringinal birth on BBC radio (audio CD available as well) to it's first rebirth on BBC television. Douglas intentionally went about hacking up his story to get it to look as close as he could, to looking like a real professional hack had hacked it. Then came an even more daunting task With the series a success on the BBC, and then across the pond on Americas PBS it well received enough, to the point that there were even rumors of people willing to sit through an entire "Pledge Break" waiting for part 2 of that evening broadcast. Douglas then found himself gasping for air and  drowning in a vast ocean of one question. " How come we can't find the original book?", "is it out of print?", "Do you have a copy?", "Can I borrow yours?" The fact was, There was no book. But to the rapidly growing cult of fanatical fans. Facts were not an option.  "where's the book?" was the only option. "why won't you tell us?".  "What are you hiding?" So to apease his fans. ouglas was forced into a lucritive book deal.  And so he began the chore of un-hacking the story back from TV to radio. And then onto un-hacking into minus decimals in order to arrive at the original story as told in the book that never was.
And now all these years later, the long awaited movie deal comes through. So now this poor man has to re-hack the original book back to the original radio script. Re-hack it back to the point that a story  should be hacked by a professional hacker for TV. And all of this only to face the overwhelming challenge now of  having to hack flawlessly to the major outmost extremes in order to get a screenplay of such perfection and quality as to be suitable enough to meet the demands for production by a real big time Hollywood major motion picture studio.  And, Walt Disney, Touchstone major motion picture studios at that. And it was there, not long after he had acomplish what no other writer throughout the annuls of  history had ever done or attempted or would even ever consider giving the slightest thought of  thinking about attempting. He Had Hacked......(please see above) It was there. In Hollywood.   In his Hollywood hotel room. In 2001. At the age of 51. Douglas Adams died of a heartahacked.
