Copying pictures from a Word doc and pasting in My Pictures? page 1

I have many pictures that were originally pasted in a Word doc.  When I try to copy and paste them into My Pictures, they show up as "Scrap" and will not open in "Office Picture Manager."

Is there a simple way to do this?  Thanks.

i use irfanview for all my image related needs. it's light, easy to use, pretty feature rich, and free. you should be able to paste whatever you've copied onto your clipboard into irfanview and then save it as a jpg, among many other formats.

Thanks - downloaded it.  How do I convert mass quantities from Word to jpeg's?  I tried to copy & paste a few images from Word to irfanview, but can see only one image.  Thanks for your help.

that's beyond my technical knowledge. i don't even think it's possible. a word file isn't itself an image format, even though you can see the images in the document. you want each image to be its own file anyway, so i would say you have to copy and paste one image at a time.

once you've pasted the image into irfanview, go to "file" > "save as...", give it a unique filename, and save it where you want to put your images. make sure to save it at 100% quality so you lose the least amount of image quality.

In case you're using Windows you could consider using KodakImaging (which is a built-in feature with most Windows versions).

With KodakImaging you're able to get more than pic in one time from a Word-file. It handles .jpg-, .bmp-, .pzp- and .tiff-files.

Check with what file-format the pics were in the Word-file; get them with KodakImaging and save or convert them into .jpg-file in MyPictures.
