Don't like the new lay-out page 1

I don't like at all the new lay-out, which I found with Peachy today.

Very inconvenient that extreme width of pages, when working with a small netbook, used by so many people nowadays.

Didn't like the overkill of ads causing browser-jams and now this.

Wide ?  With me it is very narrow.  Large chunks and portions at right side of pages have become invisible !

Horrible !

At least now I know it's the site and not my browser settings.

Seems that not everyone experiences these problems. In my case, I didn't notice any changes at all, using IExplorer and a 17" monitor (if that matters).

Maybe just a temporary bug, let's wait til Vatsis comes along.

Here, too !    Took me a while to figure out how to make a post like a blind man.

Why change something which was perfectly OK ?   Bring back old situation please.

It's a work in progress. Looks fine to me.

Actually, the change I'd like to see made is to take the "My Discussions" links and send them to the last page of the thread. It's quicker for us, and a lighter load on the servers pulling up one page instead of two.

I am facing serious problems and difficulties as well with the sudden new shape/lay-out.  Same problems as posted above by some of you.

In view of the considerable drop in number of posts today it seems we are not the only ones.

Hopefully Vatsis restores very soon the old shape/lay-out or finds a solution to satisfy everyone.

It's very clear that the present situation is most undesirable.

It's very sad to hear about the problems, since the change from fixed width to 100% width was to satisfy both a) netbook and b) widescreen users. The times had changed since the original layout was designed. I for example, nowadays use only Asus eee 1024x768 netbook and 1920x1200 26" widescreen.

After the change everything scaled down nicely on my 1024x768 netbook and even to 800x600, which wasn't earlier possible. And on widescreen, I got to see more without 50% of the screen going to empty whitespace.

However, I'm now at work and notice some problems on Google Chrome and IE 6/5, so I've now changed back to original, fixed width -layout - which is best for old non-widescreen monitors with resolution above 1024x768. I'll make an alternative "theme" from the non-fixed layout so we can test it more.

Oh and about the overkill of ads... because of global economic depression, income had dropped significantly this year - the sponsors just don't use that much cash to marketing. However the server bills haven't gone down, so we need to compensate some way to fix the situation. Rest assured when/if things get better, the ads are to be cut down first. Also instead of going up with quantity I'm looking a way to increase the quality...

I'm also looking a way to thank the top poster - like people with more then 1000 posts - to remove ads from seeing to them. Like adding them to a group, like "elite members" or something. That is not so far-fetched, since atm ads are not shown to the admins and moderators.

Things are on the move with PeachyForum, as always, and to the best in the end. :)

The new layout has changed the view to become more narrow for me, and YES, the excessive bulky ads are very distracting. I'm all for the rewards scheme for top posters. Do your best Vatsis.

I don’t like the new layout. It crushes old posts up too much and doesn’t really leave enough room for new posts. On my screen I can see two white spaces on both sides of the screen so I don’t see a need to crush the pages. Hopefully it will change back soon.
