First thing youll want to do is set a clickable bookmark for removing redirects. To do this go to bookmarks, choose organize bookmarks. Click on the bookmarks toolbar folder and select new bookmark. Name it FIX or whatever and paste the following as one line into the location field:

NOTE: The script has been fixed and is now working!
Apparently had some problems posting it here as a single string. Just copy it all and paste.

javascript:(function(){var%20k,x,t,i,j,p;%20for(k=0;x=document.links[k];k++)
{t=x.href.replace(/[%]3A/ig,':').replace(/[%]2f/ig,'/');i=t.lastIndexOf('http')
;if(i>0){%20t=t.substring(i);%20j=t.indexOf('&');%20if(j>0)t=t.substring(0,j)
;%20p=/https?\:\/\/[^\s]*[^.,;'%22>\s\)\]]/.exec(unescape(t));%20if(p)%20x.href=p[0]
;%20}%20else%20if%20(x.onmouseover&&x.onmouseout){x.onmouseover();%20if%20
(window.status%20&&%20window.status.indexOf('://')!=-1)
x.href=window.status;%20x.onmouseout();%20}%20x.onmouseover=null
;%20x.onmouseout=null;%20}})();

Save the new bookmark and it will be readily clickable at all times. Whenever you reach a tgp or page that redirects or uses the original link as a reference through their own website or another, just click the FIX bookmark and it will remove the redirects.

The next thing you will want is thumbs. This Firefox extension can turn a list of text links into a previewable thumbnailed gallery. Go here and get it:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/234/

To use the extension youll have to put the thumbs icon on your bookmarks toolbar along with FIX (remove redirects) if you added it. Right click the upper bar of your browser (to the right of HELP) and choose customize. Once thumbs has been installed youll see a small picture of a thumbs up in the customization menu. Drag the thumbs icon from the box onto your bookmarks toolbar.

To use the extension, highlight a list of text links and click on the thumb in your toolbar. Or, just click the thumb to preview an entire page. To give it a really good test try google. Try googling - site:hosted.met-art.com and click the thumb!

For general safety purposes I would suggest installing no script:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722/

This extension will automatically block all javascript from all websites by default. With an array of options, you can set to allow javascript temporarily or permanently for specific sites that you might trust. For example you visit thattubesite.com all the time and you trust it. Click the no script icon in the lower right corner of your browser and permanently allow thattubesite.com. It will then allow the site to stream the flash video or whatever while continuing to block ads and javascript from third party websites.

Next, to rip flvs, mp3s and any form of media stream from 99% of the sites on the planet, get the extension Download helper:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006/

Once installed, the download helper icon will automatically appear in the top of your browser. It appears stationary by default but will animate whenever any sort of media is streaming. To download the media, click the animated download helper icon and choose the lower most file in the list. You can rename the file if you wish, but it is often necessary to manually assign the files extension .flv .mp3 etc.

Tired of the download box popping up every time you start a download? Get Download Statusbar here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006/

This eliminates the need for the standard download box by conveniently displaying your downloading files progress in a compact bar at the bottom of the browser. You will want to go to Tools>addons Download Statusbar Options to select colors and prefs. Use the appearance tab to choose the colors u like. You can even have the download meter change colors based on the current download speed. Under the general tab you can choose the obvious preferences. I put * to automatically clear all file types when the download is finished after one second, and play a sound (checkmark) when the download is completed. Youll have to look at the options and experiment a bit before you can narrow it down to your liking.

One more good thing to do is to set up your bookmarks toolbar, and use it. Simply right click your bookmarks toolbar to make any number of new folders. Aside from FIX and thumbs Ive made a number of categorized folders such as Forums, Tubes, Media, Misc. Then I bookmark my favorite pages into the appropriate corresponding folders. This is just a tip, surfing is faster if your organized!

Now for a couple of tools you will find useful that are not exactly 100% Firefox related. I figured it fits into the whole - experience - so here they are.

If your downloading FLVs and such but prefer to use media player for viewing then Vista Codecs Pack is a must! It will allow you to view FLV MKV and pretty much any format of video via media player. Vista Codecs also works with windows 7:

Also, if you happen to be downloading a video or something from a tube site using the download helper extension and download status bar, and its really really slow. You might want to try download accelerator plus. Its a freeware ad driven DA that works like a charm. You can get it here:

http://www.brothersoft.com/download-download-accelerator-plus-71682.html

Right click the slow download in your download statusbar and - copy source url -
Bring up DAP and add a new download. If the url doesnt appear in the field just press <SHIFT>+<INSERT>

DAP will download the file with up to four connections rather than one. Thus quadrupling your current downloading speed.

If you have questions or additions, or any sort of feedback at all to this article I would love to here it! By all means lets hear your thoughts and ideas.

Happy porn hunting.

Oh I almost forgot. Linkification makes all non clickable URLs on a page clickable. Theres nothing I hate more than having to copy and paste a link. Especially if its 10 links. Anyhow, you can get it here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/190/

Fixed the remove redirects script in the first post. I was trying to post the script as a single line and for some reason the forum was dropping the last portion of the script. Prolly a limit to the amount of chars posted in a single line? Anyhow, broke it into sections and tested it. you can copy the entire script (in blue) as I've posted it and paste it into the bookmark and it will work just fine.

Ever get tired of visiting an image gallery, clicking on a picture, hitting the back arrow, reloading the page, and repeat? Linky gives you the option to open ALL of the images in the gallery in one new tab! IMO it's a very usefull extension. Just right click somewhere in the gallery, choose linky and open all image links in one tab. Check it out!

Nice set of posts. I tried the Linky out - I have had some success getting it to work. I think I will have to experiment more. I do not understand thinking people using Internet Explorer. As someone who has built several websites it is a total pain. You build a site to run in all the browsers and then you have to do a fix to make it run in IE. I have actually scrapped a website and started again because I just have not been able to iron out the problems IE had with it. I am so glad to see the usage of IE is steadily going down and down. Mozilla and especially Chrome are killing it. Microsoft is so slow to correct the bugs and take things forward. It was tragic when Explorer won out from Netscape in the browser wars of the later 90's. If it weren't for the fact IE is tied in with that dirty operating system (DOS) called Windows, it would never get a look in. Firefox is faster, more stable, more secure, MUCH MORE FUNCTIONALITY. It is just better all round. Microsoft is improving its game gradually from the dark days on IE6 which some people still use!? I have IE9 beta - but I still don't like it. My favourite is Chrome. I run the beta version. It gets updated every other week if not more often. I like it because it is so fast and the address bar is Google at the same time. The very streamlined view can be a bit off putting for a start, not knowing where open, save and other functions hide. It is also not as stable as Firefox. I find Chrome is more likely to crash with Flash and the earlier versions did not easily install the Flash plugin. There are lots of plugins coming on stream but at the moment Firefox is still way in front. I suspect when the Chrome Operating System comes on line for the masses you will see the Chrome browser take another big chunk of the browser market share. Excellent posts and good work if only one person makes the right decision and dropped IE for another browser.

LOL I just tried the "open all links in tabs". I ended up with so many tabs opening. I can see this being a very useful plugin to have.

This plugin speeds up browsing. The best feature related to porn site browsing is that it will load the next page of thumbs (the next page) on most sites that use pages by scrolling to the bottom of the page. So if there's 5 pages of thumbs, you can just keep scrolling to see them all rather than getting to the bottom, clicking on the next page, and re-scrolling from there. Really nice feature.

Hey Hunter thanks for moving this post for me, guess this is a better place for it! Really nice that it works in Google Chrome too, which is my browser of choice.. Though it doesn't work very well here at peachy.

Any good solution for tab hijacking? (I'm not sure if that's the correct term.) Basically, click on a link to open a new tab, the new tab opens, and then the original tab from which the link was clicked gets redirected elsewhere, often to some lame "Free Porn" site, but also often to a lookalike site. Sometimes several background tabs get hijacked all at once. Worse, the tab history is cleared, so you can't use the "Back" button to return to the original tab, causing you to lose some interesting pages.
