Help please! For ages now I've often come up with Error 403:

Forbidden. You don't have permission to access [insert gallery etc].

It's got me stumped and normally happens with the Teen Stars and Teen Charms galleries.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Inaz

OK, here's a typical, inaccessible link:
http://www.cashfromstars.com/hostedgals/4EVERMODELS/MIKAELA/mikaela04/index.php

And this is the on-screen message I get:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /hostedgals/4EVERMODELS/MIKAELA/mikaela04/index.php on this server.

I seem to get it especially with sites related to Teenstars and 4Ever Models.

I'm using Netscape (although I get the same result with Explorer or Mozilla), am running Norton Antivirus
and am on Windows 2000 Pro.

I have a horrible feeling it's something to do with my ISP, but have no real clue why. Just a hunch.

Any help appreciated.

Test to see if Norton is interfering.
And then maybe try a http proxy.

It just gets more bizarre. If I disable Norton, I still get the same problem, so it's not that. I tried going through WebWarper and although it gets the page up, the pics won't load!

I did get this message on Webwarper:
Your Web browser (Netscape Communicator 5 or compatible) supports GZip format of HTML pages (required by WebWarper). But the Web server received the information that GZip is not supported! Maybe, this problem is connected with a proxy server you use.

Please check whether your browser use HTTP 1.1 protocol through proxy connections. Using HTTP 1.1 should be turned on! (For Internet Explorer: Tools / Internet Options..., "Advanced" tab, "HTTP 1.1 settings" section.)

I checked and all is set up to be HTTP 1.1 compatible. So I dunno. I'll have to have a good mooch on Google and track it down on a techy forum. And thanks for taunting me with pics, lads!

Thanks for your help so far. Any other suggestions welcome.

[And why has this post appeared with 1-1-2005 date??? My computer has the correct date and time and my emails are going out with the correct date etc...]

With due respect gents, this has nothing to do with browsers (I get the same result with Firefox) and I suspect it's something to do with my ISP. I also occasionally get problems with certain email domains and I suspect that stems from the same source. The thing is, I'm in Italy and my Italian isn't good enough to try to sort it on the phone with some Italian techie, so I'm going to have to put up wth it I think.

Cloak your IP or put in a false one US or Canada usually give you good access and less problems.

FireFox is in my opinion the best browser and don't forget the peachy18 search

Better yet move back to the US and avoid all the problems call a BestBuy geek squad and they will fix it.
