Anyone see the LAPD chases today on FOX? What a bunch of geeks. Two chases in two-hours. Does anyone know what happened with the second one? That dude was funny.

I saw the end of one on CNN today...

Think it's the same one with the "funny" guy...  He was driving a white 97 Accord (with a pink robe in the door) for like 2 hours with speeds reaching upto 128mph.  The police ended up stopping people from getting on I5 in Cali, so the roads were empty.  Shortly after that he got off the interstate and drove around for a bit.  He eventually stopped at a restraunt and parked the car, cops surrounded him and he got out of the car and started to walk around.  He then went in to a outdoor section at a donut shop and walked around and jestured a bit.  The cops surrounded him again and once the K9 unit was there they took him into custody without any major problems.

All of that just to be on national television, the way he was waving at the cameras was just too much. Leaving the house with the doors wide open and the music blasting, he knew what he was doing. Classic!

This reminds me of the dude here in San Diego a few years back who, wasted on meth, decides to steal a tank from a National Guard armory and drive it through the streets....crushing cars, motorhomes, street lights and anything else in his path. They finally cornered him on a freeway (I think) and he tried to go over a huge cement median and got stuck on it. So the cops jump on top, open the hatch, and I guess the guy was still trying to get the tank off of the median so they opened fire, killing him. That one stands out with the Orenthal chase as the most memorable ones I have seen.
