The following lines are based on the assumption, that the information in this thread is true.
If not, then congratulations on a well executed and rather cunning scheme for whatever purpose.
I am glad you made it out with a "fleshwound" only. I am hardly surprised by your story and
not only because I am a sarcastic man, who drifts to cynicism more often than he likes to admit, I very
much doubt it is an exception. It is a thing all us happy, little picture hunters tend to suppress.
Still, your pictures got a bad aftertaste for me now and, while I couldn't bring myself to delete them,
they are in a password protected encrypted archive on my harddisk now. Probability is high I'll forget
how to access them in a week or two. A simple human "You are in my tribe now, so I care." reaction.
Now comes the delicate part. Yes, it is religion. By no means I am against it. Spirituality is a basic
human need. It has always been, it will ever be. I consider myself agnostic, but this is not about faiths,
and to tell the truth with the limited information I have I would consider it an insult, if I passed
judgement in any way.
I'll start with a quote from "So long, and thanks for all the fish" by Douglas Adams:
"nearly two thousand years after one man had been nailed to a tree for saying how great
it would be to be nice to people for a change"
My point is that, until proven otherwise, all spiritual leaders on this planet are humans
with the same innumerable flaws, strengths and virtues, weaknesses and vices like all of us.
It would be sad if, instead of breaking your chains, you simply exchanged the prison warden.
This is the end of my rant, I hope I didn't preach to much.
Best of luck and good fortune on whatever path you choose to tread.
