True for the lesser-known girls, sure, but Masha Star? They do have a series of internet-tubes in the Ukraine and Russia, or wherever she's from (I'm guessing Ukraine), and people do look at them there. If she had a few thousand pictures taken of her a few years ago, and they've been releasing them periodically ever since, and she hasn't seen any money from it apart from the $30 a day (or whatever, but I think that's about right) she was initially paid, she must not only feel really stupid right now, but she'd also be the most snickered at girl in Fotokameragorodok, or wherever she lives. And, I'm guessing, were this the case, she would have figured out that she was somewhat popular in the far abroad and signed up with a proper modelling agency a long time ago and started making real money ages ago.
But one of the recent nudes did show up as a thumb-nail ages ago. I remember it. Maybe she's not modelling anymore. Girls do marry younger over there, and have babies. Or get kidnapped into Saudi sexual slavery. Or Israeli sexual slavery. Or Canadian sexual slavery. Or wherever. Not to make a joke of such things, but having lived in Russia I can say that the girls I knew were remarkable naive about the big bad world.
Short of a picture of her holding last week's Time Magazine we can't really tell, but I don't think all the pictures of her are years old. There are too many of them, and I think she'd have appeared elsewhere.
