Picasa - from Google

I've just downloaded Picasa from Google, and at first glance it looks like a really good (free) tool for keeping track of images, with a nice slideshow feature too.

I'm not aware of any spyware or ads in it (yet), and when you deny it access to the Internet is still works fine.

Anyone else tried it?

(I'm not affiliated with Google or anyone else)

I'm using latest version 1.618. Only use it as 'Quick Finding&Viewing'-tool.
For that it's quite handy. Picture editing features rather poorly and limited.

I have tried it, but I prefer either Photohouse or Photosuite.

I don't use it for editing (Photoshop rules), but it's useful for tracking images.

Picasa is pretty cool. Although the movie playback has no options whatsoever, and the lack of 'zoom' is annoying.

I've checked out Picasa and I like it, but nothing beats the speed, ease of use, and features in IrfanView.
