I was just thinking this morning. Aside from you dumping someone, (breaking-up that is) What is the worst experience you have had when you have been dumped?

I think MY true story has YOU all beat. I had a finacee for a year to a year and a half. And when SHE decided to end it you know how she did it?

Yup... can you believe that shit! She did it through a text message that I got on my cell phone!

True story! I shit you not! This story is something I will but in all my movies because when I tell ppl they think it is so "out of wack" that I am actually joking. This I am not.

Anyone have a better (true) story?

well, painted - that's a sad story and I think I can compete with it ... my dump felt a little more (or less) personal.
I got a voicemail !  
I think the only thing more pathetic would've been a "post-it" note!

the funny part was,  my suit and dress shoes were in her closet so she had to bring them back to me.
later on, we got back together due to her friends' pressuring her about jumping the gun but guess what ???
a few weeks into blissful ignorance, I got another phonecall ... except this time I picked up and "surprise!", she was calling to dump me - AGAIN !!!

  Yeah I can compete too.. My ex never even bothered to tell me. I didn't see it coming at all! Because the relationship seemed good and the sex was great. I hadn't seen her for a few days and eventually heard through the grape vine that she had left me for some asshole that she "hated" and "couldn't stand", as well as I couldn't.. I didn't even believe it until I saw her some time later.

  Curious I asked why, but of course the only real obvious answer was that she must have been a closet slut.. What is it with chicks that fuck you over like that still wanting to be friends? Get real bitch..

i think i can make a showing here.  after 3 1/2 years together i got a fucking dear john e-mail.  i went to her apartment to retreive my stuff and return her's, then stopped by her work to return her key.  the worst part was that i knew then that she was the love of my life.  guess she didn't feel the same way. 

I can't 'beat' that.  I can just say that it happened with a girl I loved and it hurt like - well - I don't know what it hurt like.  Probobly my most emotionally painful experience.  And she was was kind about it - I can barely imagine what you went through.

Ive been dumped for 3 times and i can say im geting pretty good at it, for example the last time i saw it coming! I hadnt been interested in her inner person for a while, we hadnt had a deep conversation about anything for weeks but i was happy, was like bachelors life with a regular fuck apparently tho.. she wasnt. So i was behind my computer on one sunny day and i heard a car pull over, that moment i knew what was going to happen. She let herself in walked to my bedroom, opened the door and started out like "You know, lately ive had the fee.." on that moment i closed my ears and made up a big grin, she looked very dissapointed and i could see her lips say "diz over". Ofcourse i pushed my legs against the table and started spinning around with my chair making "NANANA" sound then i heard the front door shut and i havent seen her ever since Next time i will be the one doing the dumpage!

Well I've only the "dumper" and never the "dumpee", so it was too hard for me to face him, being a first timer. I sent him a nice hand-written letter which is a little bit better than a post-it I guess... And the aftermath was handled via e-mail and text messages. That was because I can be a heavy crier, so at least that way I could say everything I wanted to say instead of "Hey, I don't think this is *sobs* ... working... *sniff* ...anymore... *bwahhhh*" I hope I never get dumped *knocks wood* but I prefer not having to stand face to face.

I know letters/e-mails/post-its/text messages are a cruel way to break up, but the only thing I regret was that I stayed in that "relationship" for three years without sex. Imagine that!

I was sitting aghast as an acquaintance emailed her G.I. fiance to break up. While he was in Kuwait. On his birthday. While he was waiting for a flight home to get married to her in three days.

It's not the "best," but I think it's up there as it appalled even me.
