redirectors....

I tried a search to see if this question was posted before, and it probably has been, but posibly under a different search modus. Peachy 18 has it's favorites listed, let's focus on 'TeenAX'. Clicking many of the photo's only leads to lockdown by a redirector and the only way to get out is to restart the computer. Other photo's simply lead one to another site, which is also difficult to exit. Is there any way to override these redirectors and save a lot of extreme frustration? Sex Ocean is another, same thing.

Thanks,
Lotus

First off--I ALWAYS surf adult sites using HIGH IE security settings-that is-disabled redirects, java, scripting, and active x controls. This stops "popup bombs", autoloading programs, and BS like homepage hijacking, dialers, and unwanted additions to your favorites list and/or unwanted desktop shortcut icons. Some sites cannot be viewed with these settings in place, but (and I have surfed adult sites for some time now :)) I'd say this only amounts to about 1-2% of all the sites i have visited. I figure that if i can't view the pics with this stuff turned off, there must be a damn good reason why. ie--they want to install nasty shit on my computer!!.
As far as the redirects from the tgps go--I know exactly what you mean. You find what seems to be a good tgp with some pretty good thumbnials, click one, and get sent not to the gallery, but to another tgp site. These webmasters are paid a penny or two for each referral to each new site--that's why this happens. You can do one of two things: 1. trying the link two or three times usually works(the redirects are either script run and fire at random or are cookie driven so you should eventually hit the gallery) or even better--2. click a thumbnail and then immediately hit the stop button in your IE toolbar. This will leave the intended url in your address bar but will terminate any redirect. You will see a long url in your address bar; maybe something like:
http//:987413/blabla45/paycash/cgi.27654/:"www.nudechicks.com/gallery/01.html"

All of the bullshit that appears before the "www" is the referral ID code that allows the webmasters to get their commission. SO if you delete all of that crap and leave yourself with, in this example,

www.nudechicks.com/gallery/01.html

and hit the "GO" button, you will be taken to the intended gallery.
I hope this helps someone somewhere!

Even better is to use Mozilla or Firefox. "High IE security" doesn't really exist, as IE has a history of poor security.

My AV and spyware/scumware tools have been unemployed since I switched to Mozilla - and I've not had a single unwanted popup either.

Thanks, Harry. I think Mozilla does it!

Thanks, KS. I switched to Mozilla and, at last, frustration has gone out the door! I have one problem associated with Mozilla, though, all the downloaded photo's are now at 100%. Since I am still on the ice age dial-up connection, I previously set my download quality at about 60% which vastly sped up the downloading of the overall picture sets....after reviewing the set, and finding a photo I liked, I would then right click and click 'Display photo at full quality', this way I did not have to wait forever for each photo of the set to download at full quality, which does take forever on a dial-up. Is there a control on Mozilla that one can use to decrease/increase the quality? Appreciate it.

I'm not sure: it wouldn't surprise me if there's a plugin to do it (there are lots of them) but nothing springs to mind.

I didn't see a plugin that would do it.

You can make large pictures fit your window. (just resize your browser to make the pictures even smaller)
tools - options - advanced

chances are the if there is a better way to do this, asking here:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38
will get the best response.

Another way to stop the re-direct is to press the Esc key immediately after you click on the link. This works best for me because I'm not as fast with my mouse.

nice one , hank!!

Sites like: onlyteenstgp
- use hanks method OR write down the contents from the addreess bar at the
base of the page. Then type it in and ENTER

Sites like: sexocean OR teenax
- use firefox. (Opera might work, but I've no experience with that). If the link
redirects the first time, try again etc.

Get your firewall updated!!

There's another way to get around those re-directs, that's similar to the ones mentioned here.
You can right click on the link, then scroll down to "properties" and click it. This will give you a small box with the entire URL. All you then need to do is pick out the real URL, highlite it, copy it to clipboard, and then paste it into the little URL address window in your browser. Unfortuntaely, it doesn't work 100% of the time. Some of the URL's don't show up even with the "properties" trick. For those, I simply right click on the page (not on an image) and hit "view page source". Then all the URL's for all the links show up. You just have to find which one your looking for, and then do the copy and paste thing.

Hi,

If you have firefox you can set the max number of redirects. ON mine the setting is set to 20.

In my experiance just using firefox and disableing java scripts while surfing for porn solves 95% of the problems.

But,  to change the redirection limit do the following.
1) In the toolbar type about:config
2) find network.http.redirection-limit
3) double click on that item
4) change to any value you want
