Sad News again......

Gene Pitney who had entertained us for 40 years, died on wednesday, whilst on a British tour. He was found in his hotel room in Cardiff, and appears to have pased away peacefully.

A nice man, who always had time for his fans and was pleasant to talk to.

So thanks Gene , for all those songs that have become standards (and have saved my performances once or twice!). Still think 'Town Without Pity' should have been Number One!

So Be at Peace........and hey! maybe Tulsa's not so far away now........

Wow, they just keep coming (going?)....Gene was known for touring for the last 40 years almost continously and writing hit songs for other groups, and he had a few big hits himself as well. Another thing that Gene was credited for is breaking The Rolling Stones in the US by giving them his endorsement in the mid 60's.
