Russian site xuk.ru

A lot of posts with this site.  Especially MET-Art girls.  Basically nothing wrong with that site.  No full sets and they themselves have to worry about ©-issues.

But each time I try to download a pic from that site my AVG goes through the roof.   Didn't try it anymore for a long time.  Just now tried it again and 'bang on' again.  At least half the time just clicking the full xuk.ru link makes my AVG explode.

Are these files infected ?   Anyone else having same problems ?

The pics themselves are standalone JPEGs. They're not on a HTML page so I don't see why that would make AVG go crazy. It works fine for me but then I'm on Linux. :D Do you have AVG's Link Scanner enabled?

I haven't faced problems but I'm running on linux like 1000faces. Although the main page looks very clean and opens smoothly when comparing to some other sites, there are still some unwanted stuff.

I looked elements that are loaded on the page with Adblock and that's my suggestion on hunting infected stuff. Block things little by little and see AVG reponse. So I mean, if not already adblocking stuff in usage. Thumbs up!

When I try to access xuk.ru with Firefox, the links promptly go dead. I just tried it with Internet explorer on the same computer, this did not happen. Anyone think of a reason why this could happen? I really don't want to use IE.

PS I should add that a similar thing happens with Eva's Garden. Same kind of coding? Incompatable with Firefox?
you tried with AVAST ..? total protection against viruses, safe and reliable
There is no such thing as 100% protection against viruses. I've cleaned up infections on systems that had AVG, Avast, Kaspersky, Trend Micro, McAfee, you name it.

it is true, hackers are always updating, so we must always be careful, never open files of dubious origin may be a good solution to avoid!!!

xuk.ru is a site to avoid completely.

First, they run a script which adds their logo onto the picture sets which are stolen from other sites. They cannot blame members for posting copyrighted material, as their own logo is on the material itself. Right now xuk.ru is a prime target for the copyright cops and protection companies working for met-art, femjoy, justteensite, amourangels, ftv and half a dozen more major sites.

Second, they run scripts which will attempt to install adware worms on your PC. Obviously, if your defences are state of the art, then they will be blocked. But be aware... the most malicious trojans are built in russia (and china and india), and the US-based anti-virus and anti-malware software updates are per definition out-dated when released.

Thanks,,, will take them into account, however, almost never within the site xuk.ru, long time I realized that there are users who complain about the serious risk of taking trojan .... better to use a good antivirus!

Right now I'll update my previous post.

There is currently a russian lawsuit involving 3 lawyers to get x.u.k.r.u. removed from the face of this globe and damages paid.

The fact is that not only do they break copyright laws on all fronts, but also, single-handedly, they have forced more than 100 photomodels out of the business by providing their photos and details to the general public.. and that includes their russian friends who visit x.u.k.r.u.

In Russia the laws are changing. Expect updates soon.
