Spyware scan redirect on home page, page 2

Something strange is happening for the first time.  Whenever I open peachy pages, I receive a popup, request to download file 81995.php, from pages.etology.com.  I cleared out my spyware, but I still get this.  Is this a site problem, or do you think it's my computer.  Thanks

When I try goin to the homepage I keep getting redirects to another site. It's doing this with both Firefox and IE, just started tonight. I have to hit continually hit back, and I'll be lucky if I get the site, it's hella frustrating! Angry As far as I know my comp has no spyware, time to scan religiously! If this continues, I love you peachyforum! *sniffs sadly*

Looks like the redirect is going to http://dupedb.com/rls/category/XXX I haven't seen the source code yet. Trying to get this message thru (fingers crossed).

Offending code appears to be in the header... I found this sitting in the source code: ///META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0; URL=http://dupedb.com/rls/category/XXX"/// (commented it out with /// instead of '' to prevent accidental running)

theres a solution for firefox users.get the addon "NoRedirect" and add a parameter for the following: (including the ^

and set it to "DNS error". this will allow you to browse the site with no redirects.

I just did all of the firefox updates.  Added Redirect cleaner.  Only way i could get on.

Tried Crome, IE, and firefox.  All the same.

Using FireFox with NoRedirect plugin seems to work OK

It's blocking redirects to:

dupedb.com/rls/category/XXX  and dupedb.com/peaches.html

IP 91.121.221.27

It seems this is the only way at this moment to work on Peachyforum.  All other browsers (IE, Chrome, Opera) fail.

As said I informed Vatsis (webmaster). Hopefully he is able to fix things

It's happening to me now, so I guess it isn't fixed.  I had to trick my DNS to avoid it.

Is this coming through the syndicated ads like all the spyware & viruses do?

Made an account just to post an update on this.

Its still happening to me right now, in IE, and Firefox.

But its ONLY happening when trying to browse peachyforum and no other sites. For example, I can go to google just fine. Then I search for peachyforum pattycake simply to see if it happens even off of a link. I click the link, which loads peachyforum then immediately re-directs me to dupedb.

Then I tried askjolene and get no re-direct as well as any other site.

Trying to re-direct me when replying to this as well but I just clicked stop.

The webmaster has to clean up his servers, I think.

People using Firefox can block this redirection.

http://www.bala-krishna.com/how-to-block-website-redirection-from-firefox-browser

Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Select check box “Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload page”

Surely the same function in IE/Chrome/Opera/Safari.

Am I the only one getting re-directed to some fucked different site every 15 seconds? VERY AWFUL addition if it's official.

there's embedded redirection code in peachy's source, usually this happens with XSS (cross site scripting) attacks

Whatever is going on, its rendered one of my most frequented sites here unusable. I can barely get this message posted, and I hope it can be fixed soon.

We are working on it.

For those not using Mozilla Firefox:  Just arrange a quick (free) download of this browser and add the plugin NoRedirect (see further up in this thread).  It's easy and quick.  Shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes.

If you're using an old version of IE, then you should upgrade to IE7 or IE 8.  (using IE6 or lower is almost suicidal...)
