Welcome To Stereogram Club™ . Post and discuss the best you can find right here . I would like to dedicate this thread to Renae , who loved Stereograms very much .
*Note* It is tricky and very frustrating to "see" a stereogram for the first time . You can quite easily go completely fucking insane . Believe me I know , it took me two days off and on to see my first one . Some people see them right away , some people take hours or days like I did , and some can never see them . My advice is to try to focus on a reflection of something behind you in the middle of your monitor . If there is no reflection on your screen try to make one with a lamp or something . Try to stay one foot or so from your screen . Focus on the lamp or reflection like you are trying to read something on it and then look around the stereogram and try to see and focus on things . Some people have luck focusing on something behind their monitor (like a wall) and then dragging their eyes over to the picture on the screen while retaining that depth of focus . Remember , the image is
inside the surface art so try to train your eyes to see
into the picture like you are trying to focus on something just behind your monitor . If you focus on the surface of the print you will never see it . The sensation when you first focus correctly is a kind of crosseyed feeling . Use these tips on the starter pack that I linked below to begin . All stereograms are different in that some are much harder to see then others but the great news is...once you learn to see the first one , you can see almost all of the others from then on . There are many posters and heavy stock , full-color books available . You can also get software to make your own . I have the Magic Eye™ book and several posters and wallboards that are awesome . For those of you who have never been exposed to them before....You are in for something very cool .
Three to start , medium quality .
