t-o-r-r-e-n-t and other P-2-P rules?

I made a posting that mentioned a t o r r e n t.  The word "t o r r e n t" (without spaces) was filtered and replaced with a graphic telling me use of P2P is discouraged.  I changed the verbiage, but I don't know if that's the right thing to do.  I tried to find the rules that explain this, but I couldn't find them.  A pointer in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Yes, I had to know that posting about those words wasn't allowed, but I was asking a question about the rules concerning those technologies. I felt I was justified to try to work around the filter just so I could post my question.  Being a new board member, I don't want to end up getting banned so quickly, which is why I want to know about the rules.

So I understand that we're not allowed to mention those file share technologies in our postings.  I just wanted to know why that is.  The links I saw to the rules about this were broken links.

Don't worry, asking is always ok - we do use common sense before banning anyone! :)

The main reason for not allowing those tech to be mentioned is that we want to stop discussion about them even before actual illegal links are posted. We know there are many fast, illegal ways to share stuff, but we don't want to encourage people to discuss about them. Banning words, not people, will give the posters a chance to immediately notice if the post needs editing and correct the discussion/links before the moderators even notice.

But enough boring stuff, back to posting galleries!
