A quick lesson, for those who want to copy & paste links they find elsewhere, and share them here.......
Some forums will shorten a long url by inserting a line of periods
>......< in as part of the url. The url (usually) doesn't
have those dots in it, it's simply a way to make something like this
www.imagevenue.com/thispicturesurliswaytoolongforitsowngood.jpg
and fit it into the forum's page width by replacing some of that url text, and making it look like this
www.imagevenue.com/thispictur......ood.jpg
Since they've only made it LOOK shortened, the url still works when you
click on it in THAT forum (since it's associated with the complete
url). HOWEVER, when you copy the shortened url, and paste it
here, we get a NON-working url.
Soooooo........if the url has the dots in it, copy the LINK LOCATION, and paste it here. 'Nuff said!! :)
