I may be wrong about this guys, and if I am... apologies. But I logged on to Peachy yesterday, and then checked out "pinky Pics", on the best pay site list. My computer was frozen, and then the home page changed to greatsearch.biz. I can't get rid of it! I've run ADWARE for pop-ups, and F-prot for viruses, but nothing seems to help. (I've also done the Tools-internet options-etc. ...nothing.) Be careful!

So you need better tools!

Download and run Hijack This! ...

Let the s/w fix all the entries R0 & R1-HKCU that could contain a mention to greatsearch.biz ...

And for the future ... when you surf at ero forums and other sex related sites, you better use Mozilla Firebird (not IE ...)

another suggestion might be to use SpySweeper and WindowWasher5.0 both from www.webroot.com.

Greatsearch.biz is what's called a browser hijacker . You could run HijackThis as recommended but that program is quite tricky especially if you are not the most advanced computer user . HijackThis will create a list of all objects that it thinks are objectionable but deleting all of what it finds could most definately leave you unable to run Windows properly and at worst cause you to not be able to reboot when you shut down your computer . Far easier would be to download a program called CWShredder which will get rid of this problem quickly and safely . I highly endorse it's use and confirm it's effectiveness.

Try SpywareBlaster & spyguard, it can shut out ur internet explorer page from being changed, uses little memory and is quick to upload. I had same problems as u. now i have had no problems since :-). Mix this in with the other utilitys progs available and happy days

Also, another is to use "AD-AWARE", from download.com. It's free and i've never had a problem. Go here http://www.download.com and look for "AD-AWARE" It's under the "most popular" section.
