Big Smile Well, not quite Midwestern, the old Tarheel State...

I've heard rumors they play basketball down there too...Jumping Ball  Wink

The trick in finding this church is that many photos of it don't show the statue.

I kept seeing this without it and thought it was just a close copy! Smile

I have a hunch he's picked the most unlikely place in the world--Hawaii Horrified Smoking

which has a sometimes snow covered mountain with a whole complex of telescopes, sponsored by various nations. I just can't pinpoint this one yet.

I want someone else (hopefully a new guy) to pick the next clue, so if you're here when Minger answers,  and if I'm right, then post your pic in my place.  Thumbs up!

Sorry, all wrong so far. That particular breed of dog, (and dogs in general), relates directly to this location. How's everyone's Latin?

(@ DirtyHarry...were you thinking of the Japanese 'Akita'?)

Bulldog   Dog = Canis  Bull = Taurus   That doesn't get us there.....  Does it ?

I've a hunch it's somewhere in South America.   Argentina, Chile (??)   Lots of observatories over there...

I think I've got it, based on the latin...a place I ignored earlier due to perceived lack of snow

Tell me if I've found it...I actually saw this late last night and skipped it Smile
