Looks like some kind of a Hindu shrine.  But without some (cryptic) clue rather hard to trace....

Although I wouldn't be surprised that our 2 mastercracks Minger & Seablonde have already found it and are now restraining themselves i.o. to give the weaker souls a chance....

It is indeed Indian (assumingly Hindu) and a small part of this place

Since its name is practically unreadable (much less pronounceable),  the location is the main reason why I chose it so location alone will suffice.

Thanks for the kind words, Funky. I rested my brain today

(and it looks like that shrine was a challenge Confused)

I try searching for different combinations of words until I hit paydirt. However, I bow to Minger's expertise. Worship

Yes, the unfortunate result of a brief liason with a rather hirsute bargirl from Manilla named Fluffy. I shan't be seeking custody. Smile

Speaking of high places...

When I was looking at pics of that Fermi Lab office building, I found this:

That would be neat to look out your window and see that every day! I live out in the country but even there we have to use binoculars to see red tailed hawks from a distance. I haven't seen a peregrine yet (I think...)

About time to visit Amsterdam / Holland soon. Sea-eagles and vultures in Flevoland regions. In the Amsterdam cityparks: falcons, hawks, buzzards, herons, storks and lately sub-tropical collar-parrots (escaped from an aviary 15 years ago and able to survive in the parks)....

Wow, I'll make a note of that. It's not what we Americans would imagine seeing in the Netherlands, but it makes sense. I'll pass this along to some local Dutch friends and others who might make it over there before I do.

For a minute there, Funky, I thought my clue was answered in record time! Embarrassed

Out in the country, this is the type of crane we don't mind seeing! They will walk right through your yard...

If you're ever in NYC, take a stroll thru Brooklyn and check out the 1000's of wild parrots.  Talk about displacement Confused

Sorry, not the place I had in mind...but wow, I can't blame you for thinking it is!

It never occurred to me that a seaside artwork could resemble my location...far away...

Trying to decide what we should do here...Confused

Funky, should I just post the answer or keep both of these up for now?

Think I've seen it once at the Belgian coast near Oostende.  Inspired by surrealist RenĂ© Magritte.  Memorial for those who perished at sea.  Too busy right now to search further.

In the interest of saving everyone's time, you're both very far off...I simply was reminded of Magritte's use of clouds and isolated human figures in his paintings. This is no where in Europe. In fact, except for it being a photo, it is not considered an art work, but a natural scene. The unique characteristics of this place allow for the reflection that you see here, which is often photographed by tourists. This is from its Wikipedia page. (I've added another pic which is near or at the first place) Even though these look like two very different regions, it's the same place, and searches will show a variety of pics.

At any rate, once this is solved, then on to Minger's captivating picture next in queue Thumbs up!
