Neither really, I was just trying to post some pics that I found yesterday that were new to me. Again, they showed on the preview but not on the final post, though yesterday "show picture" brought them up: but not today (AAAARGHHH). Is this just me or can you not see them either? If not, what am I doing wrong? - computers hate me as much as I hate them. I'll try to edit them out of my previous post to save all that blank screen.

They don't show because they're being hotlinked - that is (as far as I can explain it, being no expert myself) the owners of the site/gallery page hosting these pictures will not allow their bandwidth to be 'stolen' by having the pictures loaded on another forum etc. So, if they prevent hotlinking, all people will see is a red cross or picture placeholder once they are hotlinked here on a forum (though you may well find they display as expected at first, as the pictures may be temporarily saved in your browser's cache). Anyway, googling hotlinking should find better explanations than mine!

It's much more reliable to host pictures at forums using a dedicated image host, such as www.imagevenue.com - just upload picture(s), then copy the relevant code it gives you into your forum post. Wink
