Codec Problem

I downloaded a ChristinaModel movie and got all the parts, used the winrar to open an extract.  It made the one movie file.

I went to play it on my media player 10 and it said 'searching for codec' then it failed...

I also have a divX installed on my computer.

Is there a standard player everyone on here uses?  Or can point me to a good codec/player website?

Must appreciated  Smile [:)]

You can use the G-spot application to find out what codec you need.

http://www.headbands.com/gspot/

Also, you could ask in the "Computer assistance forum":

thanks for the response, the file is a .mpeg so gspot didnt seem to work.  I looked at the 'com forum' and saw referenced a program called 'jet audio'

just wondering where to get additional codecs for jet.  I got a picture with jet audio, albiet an extremely pixelated/miscoloured stuck on the first frame picture Indifferent [:|]

ill ask in that thread too!  ty

You should be able to get just about any codecs you need from this site:
