tumulpi: How do I know what a "full set" is? If, e.g. a original set consists of 100 pics, and I post 90 or 99 of them, is this still a full set?
this is a matter of common sense. this forum is for tgp links, usually 12-16 pics, sometimes as few as 6, sometimes as many as 30. 90 (or 70, or 50 even) is too many. no one should be posting pics anyway, except for ID purposes. this isn't a tgp site. it's a forum for posting links to copyright compliant pics at other copyright compliant sites.
tumulpi: And about copyright: Isn't every picture copyrighted? Or is just a "full set" copyrighted, but not a single picture?
every pic is copyrighted. every single one. i'm sure all the technical legalities have been hashed out elsewhere by well-paid lawyers and such, but the idea is that copyright holders accept free use of a limited number of reduced resolution pics for promotional purposes only. the copyright holders give out a few cheap freebies hoping you'll go pay for the good stuff.
tumulpi: A good example is the following, I posted links to this site a few times, but don't want to cause any problems, so I ask:
so good that i deleted it. 60 pics or so. 2000 x 3000 (that's full content resolution, usually the most you'll find that's "safe" is 800 x 1200). pics aren't hosted at the site itself but at an image host where anyone can upload their full content. definitely a copyright violation.
basically, if you stumble upon something that you think other people who don't know any better go and pay for, it's no go here.
