Then could you give us a clue as to what's there? It won't be anything new as she's done nothing for years, so is it especially good quality? Lots of sets? One set? Basically, is it worth the trouble registering?

Yes, thanks for the link. I've signed up and taken a look. It's a good intro to Poppy for those who don't know her stuff, but the pics are quite low res. There have definitely been better versions about, but they're getting increasingly hard to find. She wasn't around for long. Amazing girl, one of my all time faves.

Now a request - has anyone ever seen more from this shoot? -

Someone sent this picture to me a while back, but I never heard from him again when I asked if he had more. I always imagined I'd seen all the Poppy sets out there that have been scanned, so this really took me by surprise. If anyone has more from this set, please get in touch! Thanks Wink

Poppy is a long time fav.
I was fortunate to visit Kevin Maklins site before it went down and nabbed all his watermarked sets
[Maklin was the main photographer of all of Poppy's major shoots]...and of course the score, Babyface and 18.com sets.

I have, like most, a slew of random pics of Poppy, but have never seen the one matadorstuff posted.
Any updates on that set?

"unreal" wow! what a blast from the past
here is a textfile that used to accompany his scans:

That set did turn up, should have posted it here before Wink

Search google for the group poppycolesjo (you'll probably find my own group poppycoles4ever is the only result, but just change the group name in the link from poppycoles4ever to poppycolesjo) - sign up and you'll find it in the Files section ("Striped top" folder).

Or to make things easier:

Thumbs up!

New Poppy site:

http://www.poppycoles.co.uk

The old site only worked in IE.  The new site should render as normal in other browsers.

 Enjoy!
Still seems odd to me (viewing in Opera). I mean, are they all just thumbs, or do we get to see full-size pics at all?

Hi unreal.

Good to see you and your site again.

The new site works well on my Mac with Firefox 2

Clicking on the thumbs should link to the full size image.

Try another browser to see how things render.  Kindly attach a screenshot of the problem and I'll see what I can do.
OK, I seem to have sussed it out. It seems that (using Opera, at least) if you click the thumbnail image, whether in the main index or once in the gallery, it takes you to a blank page (the background is there, but no pics). You have to click on the actual text below the picture and if you do, all works fine. Many thanks for all the hard work.

The browser behaviour you described seems a little unusual but at least you've found a workaround.

Sad news. Sad

Just received news from the person who is paying for the web hosting that they are no longer continuing.  Unfortunately, this means the site will close 24/10/2008.  Grab what you can while the site is still online.

If anyone is willing to host the site, please let us know as I do not wish to pay for hosting again.

Cheers,

Unreal
