So, my wife is off to France tomorrow which means I have the place to myself for a week. I'd appreciate some suggestions for things I can get up to while she's away. The kind of things I can't do while she's around, like have sex for example. Any ideas welcome, although experimenting with gay love isn't high on the agenda.

Q

Footnote: Just to point out this is NOT meant as a serious thread and under no circumstances would I cheat on my wife, so I'm sorry if anyone was offended. My beloved has a similar sense of humour as me and has been ribbing me all week about what she's gonna get up to in France.

Now I'm just waiting for her to take that gun away from my head.

One that just popped into my head.... Start redecorating, I'd suggest a nice lumberjack / beer pyramid theme.

It would be a good time to buy some new electronics, i.e. a 15in sub woofer, and a nice set of speakers.

Also, throw out those girlie movies... i.e. Titanic, and replace with GGW. While your at it, block out a couple TV stations, I suggest starting with The Oxygen Network and Lifetime.

Last of all, make sure you get some warm clothes, because in about a week hell is gonna freeze over

While the wife is away, eh?

Well, you could plan an amazing return meal for her - covering the house in twinkly lights, leading to the dining room where a butler hired for the night serves you a lavish meal. Of course, this would be followed by a renewel of your wedding vows at midnight by candlelight, where you will present her with a beautiful diamond ring, made by yourself.

Or..

You can turn the volume up on the porn not having to worry about her hearing the groans emitting from both the computer speakers and your mouth, and masturbate until you pass out.

Your call ;)

In all seriousness we have thought about renewing our marriage vows, the first time seemed unreal and appeared to be for the benefit of other people.

As for the second suggestion I'm far too busy searching for all those bands you posted in another thread to even contemplate looking at porn.

ks, the redecorating idea, could be, I thought maybe giving the place a more cosmopolitan look might be nice. May even go one step further and persuade Norwich City Council to redesign the whole City.

I'm missing her already and she hasn't even left.

So, just before she left she had a peek at the last couple of posts. Not surprisingly she liked bang bang bang's first idea, thanks.

She wasn't too impressed with throwing out girly movies because she hates them to begin with, she's more of a Kill Bill kind of girl!

Like me she was also concerned that Dis thought I was planning something awful behind her back, when I said ' The kind of things I can't do while she's around, like have sex for example.', it was meant to be a joke suggesting we don't have any and as soon as she left I could have some solo fun!

At the moment I have a close family member who has been treated abominably by her husband and it's close to tearing her apart. It's taking plenty of effort for some of us not to do something drastic. So having anyone thinking I'm going to follow suit and cheat hurt a bit, especially an esteemed Peachy member who I have total respect for. Sorry you thought that m8, I should have been clearer with my post.

I remember I posted some stuff a while back where I gave some advice on not to get trapped into a marriage like I felt I was. I plucked up the courage shortly after and told her how I felt and it turned out to be the best thing to do, we suddenly realised we had been treating each other like pieces of furniture and just like that it all changed.

As far as affairs/one offs go, I think it can be too easy to jump on the moral bandwagon, I don't believe that everything is black and white and the facts need to be known first. People in abusive/loveless relationships can hardly be blamed for seeking solace and comfort in the arms of someone who recognises their humanity and rights as well as loving them.

Anyway this can either continue in a serious vein or return to the original idea of posting some ridiculous and completely unfeasible activities I can indulge in while my other half is living it up over the Channel. I think she'll be a bit disappointed if there aren't any bizarre ideas to read when she gets back, she actually finds some of the comments here funny, God help her!

Sorry for the length of my post. So to speak. Q

Thanks Dis.  However, if you could persuade JC to visit me for afternoon tea, NO NO NO must... be...good...

I must confess that when my sweetheart first saw your original post she did actually burst out laughing but then saw the look of horror on my face!

Well, it went like this:

Saturday: Redocorated with tasteful wallpaper, various women in 'look what I had for lunch' poses.

Sunday: Gorged myself on my Wife's chocolate stash, took several hours.

Monday: An assortment of Peachy girls waited on me hand and foot, ironing, hoovering, washing, shopping, putting shelves up, you name it. They wanted to go further, but I wasn't having any of it. When they wouldn't take no for an answer I had to send the brazen hussies packing.

Tuesday: Early morning - KFC, Mid-morning - Burger King, Lunch - Chinese, Afternoon - Curry, Tea - Kebab, Evening - Pizza, Midnight - Low fat yoghurt, (like to stay healthy).

Wednesday: Whistle stop tour of the World. Took in The Pyramids at Giza, The Great Wall of China, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, Niagara Falls and The Norwegian Fjords.

And now the real version.

Saturday: Played music all day.
Sunday: Stayed in bed for an extra couple of hours because it was the first time in ages that I'd woken up without my nuts frozen off because the duvet had been swiped by my wife.
Monday-Friday: Left for work at 8.45 am, back home at 5.10 pm, drank coffee, made food, (I always do the cooking anyway but it was hard to remember to do less the first 2 days). Watched CSI Sat, Tue,(Miami), Wed. Played music, read a book, (War of The Flowers), checked out Peachy, went to bed.

Really exciting stuff! My friends and I are all rapidly heading towards 40 and once we've finished work none of us can be bothered to do much but vegetate. People move on and have other responsibilities, mainly to their own families.

Before my wife left she made a deal that if ten members posted to this thread she would register herself!!! She's gonna see this at about 8.00 pm Sunday GMT, so I think I'm safe from that.

Dis

she should do a little more than just register for you man i mean to compensate for her not being there and stuff. oh well...

quantiq

I've heard people come back from France a changed person, she'll probably throw all her favourite films out and start watching arthouse movies with subtitles, she'll take to drinking the finest wines, expecting rustic decor and behaving all Bohemianlike. The CD's I've bought her for her birthday next week will have to be replaced with 100 Great Accordian Classics.

And before I get into trouble: 'The above stereotypical views are only meant for comedic effect and do not represent the posters' actual views of that wonderful nation'

Has there ever been a Husband/Wife team together on Peachy? I find the thought of it a bit creepy.

Q,lmao, that's great. How to politically correctly post in the 21st century

I think it would be kinda cool actually and I just checked this will make the 13th reply post on this thread. Is it 10 total or 10 after she left? Just curious how many more are needed to get her to register

Oh, one more thing, you have the phone number for that Peachy Girls housekeeping crew handy?

Had to have 10 different Posters, so that's 5 short. I felt quite confident that the target wouldn't be reached. Of course, I can't take the PC with me to work, so.....

I'm afraid the number of the Peachy Workforce was on a piece of paper which unfortunately was left in a pocket and washed. D'oh!  Anyway the little minxes were always trying to grope me instead of getting on with their work, I'm sure you wouldn't want that happening. You just can't get the staff.

Well, she's seen it all and is disappointed that I'm keeping her to our agreement. She says thanks to the guys that posted here. What worries me is that Robbie3110 was on holiday at the same time and she's checked the names on this thread, she isn't planning to go through the whole Peachy Crew surely?

Just a joke dear!

Well quantiq, I can reassure you that I didn't spend the last week in France Wink
