I look mainly for a thin waist.  Long, spindly legs and matchstick arms are a must, too.  And in thin girls, it's usually easier to see the ribs, veins, and tendons.  Love to see those anatomical structures.  It's nice for a thin girl to have some boobage, as well.  But, as you say, that's rare.
