I'm >>SO<< glad you were able to figure out that they were reposts. What was it that gave it away -- the fact that I told you (and everyone else) where the originals were? Or was it the subject heading, up in large bold letters, above the posting itself?
My first answer (and reason) is, those links from page 39 are now buried more than 20 pages deep. Not many people will go looking that far back, nor should they have to. And yet, that's where some truly great links are still waiting quietly, and patiently.
My second answer (and reason) is, when I first found this thread, back on page 42, I decided to go all the way back to page 1. So I did. And there were literally thousands of links, with many hundreds of them dead. So, for my own reasons, I decided to go thru every single link. Once I began doing so, while I was doing so, I was really impressed by the caliber of a lot of them (here's one more tribute to broodingman . . . have you ever heard of him? Do you have any reason to care, or give a shit?) So, at any rate, I decided to grab, compile, and share the best of what I encountered, among the still active links.
It's that simple. If you (or anyone else) do not want to see any selected highlights, then just skip them, and ignore them.
And as for telling me I should post more new links . . . well, buddy, I think I've already posted quite a few more, than you have. Quite a few more, indeed. So, if you want to criticize me for not posting enough new links, at least meet and match my number, before you do.
And good luck with that. Seriously and sincerely. If you even try, we'll all benefit. Because this whole thing is about sharing. Which is what I'm trying to do.
