This reminds me of that old game from the 70s, Don't Break The Ice. You used little plastic hammers to knock out one cube of "ice" at a time, while hoping that the rest of the cubes stayed in place (held together by some sort of tension). No one wanted the cube they knocked out to be the one that caused them all to collapse, ending the game.
