TUBE 8 VIRUS DANGER

For the first (and last) time I downloaded a Tube 8 clip--and, immediately, an ugly virus, a rootkit, took over my registry, and hijacked IE7 and Firefox.

Moreover, the virus shuts down anti-virus software, invades system restore, and connects to bots, which sends out spam using my email. You're stuck.

So, I had to wipe my hard drive clean and re-install Windows; end of nightmare.

Ya' can't get something for nothing---and Tube 8 makes you pay by infecting your computer.

I've checked on the web for others that have caught Tube 8 administered viruses; the numbers are legion.

Inspite of what some of our members think, we ban sites for good reasons !

According to McAfee Site Advisor they have tested the site and found it to be clean, including it’s affiliates. I’ve been browsing tube 8 forever without incident.

I've browsed it for a while too, and hadn't trouble. Could it has to be with me using Opera, instead IE or Firefox?

No doubt once and a while, someone uploads a virus, and no doubt the site people remove it as fast as the can. But not before someone reports it, usually after finding it...... Doubt it was deliberate on the owners part. Although they could probably do a better job of virus proofing the place.
