Today, 6/6/2005 I've closed down Nude/NN section of Peachy18 girls because of the new US 2257 regulation. However, you may see the girls on their shrines on Peachy18.

There is a Free Speach Coalition trying to force down 2257 so things might get better. I'm also looking for EU/CA hosting company, but the bandwidth is way too expensive for my budget... and they might be very slow for people from US. There is still over two weeks to get things sorted out...

I understand why you have had to close part of bbs.peachy18. We all knew this was coming, and the whole thing sucks like hell. What I do not fully understand, is why 2257 affects the Nude/NN sections of bbs.peachy18, and does not affect some of the other sections. Does this mean that if I were to start a thread for instance in the "Theme of your own" section called "Kristina Fey" then that would not be a problem?

I hope this whole thing blows over as quickly as possible, and wish you luck and strength and full support in dealing with the situation.

Mike already asked this, but I'll be a bit more specific. Why is the Nude section closed, but not the request forum? Two of my fav's:

Marketa - Nude - Gone

Nella - Top requests - Intact

Nude section was closed because it's kind of useless, there are the same galleries on Peachy18. The fate of those girls should be on Peachy18, if it's going to be converted to softcore... I'm currently going thru every Peachy18 girl gallery to check if their gallery is softcore / hardcore.

What I'm planning to do to "Nude Fanclub" is to make it a discussion forum it was earlier, where the first rule is not to send any galleries... so, in the old format, cannot keep Nude/NN forums up anymore or the discussion forums well get filled up with galleries like before.

Request a girl will be the next experiencing a change... we might need to different forums, like "Softcore: Request a girl / Hardcore: Requets a girl" and "Softcore: Top Request / Hardcore: Top Requests".

Currently, all the banners have to go as well, which might seem to be a good thing for surfing aspect... but will end getting money for paying the server fees as well.

Even if things might seem a bit too strict / fucked up, I'm just doing my best before 23th... if the heards starts falling, we want be the first. After there will be more accurate interpretions of the law, we'll loosen up. Also moving to EU might help... but that would make me an outlaw in US.

There isn't much room for further interpretation of new #2257 regulation.......

Only wise decision will be moving from US to a country with more relaxed legislation; and opting for eg. a .TV or .INFO domain, which many sites like Peachy18 have been doing or planning to do so very soon.

Not doing so will ultimately mean the beginning of the end for Peachy18.......

Hi Vatsis,

I imagine you have the Nude/NN sections in cold storage at the moment. Is there any way that you can keep the "grab links" up for a week or so, just to give the folks at bbs.peachy18 time to check the links they might have missed? I think this all happened so fast that some members are now kicking themselves that they had not saved the links.

Maybe a temporary post in the bbs-related section might help, or enabling the search function for a week (without having the deleted sections visible). So many people have spent time and effort contributing to these sections - and very few galleries actually made it to the shrines on www.peachy18.com  

I am sure that you will be doing most members a great favor.

Hope this means that remote_image also doesn't have to be removed.  Those preview pictures help Peachy stand out from the rest.

Perhaps a grad links type page could be added to the shrines (or at least a way to see all the galleries submitted).  I typically don't use the shrines much because I never know what's new, and some of the best galleries can't be submitted there.

Should the new 18usc hold up, and be ok with the new rules, this is what I'd suggest...

1.  In the bbs, have a grab links type page (organized by date) that members can add links to (updates both the Shrines and bbs links). 

2.  Have a way for the moderators to add links member find to the list (with no filtering rules for the mods, as some links aren't currently excepted).
