Seems that chatbox is not linked to PeachyForum log-in, which results (and has resulted) in a lot of impersonating and cheating.  You'll never know who is really in the chatroom.  That's why I'll stay away from the chatroom for time being.....

 

ah, there we go.  yeah it would be nice if you could log in, and have chat listed under the general chat or some other forum board instead of up with the outbound links.  i believe if you want to make an ass of yourself in public, you shouldn't be allowed to wear a mask

Interestingly, anonymity doesn't reduce the value of chat. It is a chat where anyone can make up their own name and say whatever they like. Nobody (who isn't a total idiot) uses it for secure communication.

Impersonation is possible, but it is always up to the reader, in the end, to choose what to believe. If you see guest_Vatsis and they claim to be Vatsis, you must make your own judgement.

Relevant information:
Chat doesn't have a "log in" function. You just choose a (non-unique) nickname. IPs are visible. Lurkers are invisible.
