BTW, I won't be back on until afternoon Eastern US Time, so if I'm right, and you want to pick the next clue before then, Funky can for me or he can pick someone who wants to play. Otherwise, it will be 5-8 hours.

Nothing 'sinister' here...in fact the complete opposite.

Here's a wider angle...

Oops I pretty much had this one yesterday.  I recognized it from the news, but didn't go the last yard and find it.  Pretty interesting place.

With this cryptic hint and the grasscovered logcabin my first thoughts were somewhere in Alaska.

I simply don't have the time anymore for extensive searches b.o. attending to this site a.w.a. 3 other sites.....

I'm giving up on this one.  The spanish built a lot of colonial churches.  I just can't find this one.  I've looked through so many that the others are becoming familiar.

Thumbs up!  I thought that might help. Sorry it's taking awhile. Need more? NGolf, you at least recognize the style correctly. It is in a relatively obscure part of the world. I'll tell you how I sometimes find a subject. I like to jump around on the world map, look for a country we haven't focused on for awhile (if at all) then Google Images or Flickr until I find some interesting pics. I remembered the first pic of the dome lit up and continued the theme after Minger's post.
